She was incredibly stupid with it. People like her truly believed they were going to get away with it like the government doesn’t track every cent, especially in a day of age where everything is done electronically.
But what gets me is how they all applied to have their loan forgiven, like that was just going to end there. The government granted a lot of those forgiveness, but they still wanted receipts and when folks couldn’t produce them, shit got real.
Same here. I thought was for legit companies till someone I know filed a nice tax return this year. They made a ton of money helping folks fill out ppp loan apps.
I’m reading a lot of these type cases where people where already committing fraud but the PPP loans is what got them caught
