Officer was way outta line, but his initial interaction with them was reasonable. Ignorance of the law, doesn't mean you can break it. I can't imagine a citation for being in the park after hours is more than $100 and you still have the option to fight in court. I know Georgia's courts are probably packed with a bunch of good ole boys, but you still have a chance to get it reduced or thrown out completely. You will never win with a cop while you are on the street; it's better to take your chances in court especially for a citation for being in a park. She decided to escalate the situation and he let her know the consequences for not signing the ticket.

Yeah she should have signed the ticket but that Pig was doing to much, he said they had out of state tags so they probably didn't know you couldn't be at the park after dark in the city and told them to leave, there was no need to even write a citation. He was on a power trip soon as they asked did they have to sign the ticket, he was quick to tell them sign or go jail and was ready to arrest just as quickly when she gave him a hard time

Cop could've just let them off with a warning and told them to keep it movin. A ticket wasn't necessary because they didn't know that you couldn't park at the park after hours to get your fuck on!

Yes, by law you have to sign. Signing isn't an admission of guilt. Signing is simply an acknowledgement that you were notified.
I saw the body cam video. He instructed her multiple times to sign the ticket or she would be arrested and she refused. When he actually started to use force to place her wrists in handcuffs she agreed to sign the ticket. But I can't see him backing out of the arrest after he already started to use force.

Officer gave her a chance to comply and she gave him, not just attitude but you are irrelevant, insignificant and I don't have to do shit you say, attitude.
This is exactly what I was thinking.
The body cam footage is a gift and a curse.
It can be used to hold them accountable for their bullshit but can also limit the amount of leeway they can give people since their actions are always on camera.
Especially tickets which are quick and easy cash for police departments and cities.
