TOM HANKS: HOW IS IT I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THE TULSA MASSACRE

Same. I'm not sure when I learned this, but it was over 10 years ago, probably more than that

A lot of people found out about it when Watchmen came out. People thought that it was an exaggeration and they didn't realize it was the most real life film depiction to date.

I I'm not surprised he didn't know. American history is whitewashed. And when they control the narrative, when they control the information, it's easy for something like that to escape the knowledge of the masses

This is True. I was vaguely aware of the massacre only because of the GAP band's name. I didn't get into the gory details until I watched HBO's "Watchmen." Only then did I become fully aware. When I saw the Airplanes dropping bombs on the community. I thought it was over the top, and I picked up my tablet and started researching the event while I was watching the show.

Bruh you aint seen or heard nothing yet,

this is the age of truth, slowly all the shit

they try to hide and cover up, they now have to admit,

insane how they dont teach this reality, but still teach the delusional

bullshit, that there was a man named christopher columbus who

"DISCOVERED" America.... and he never ever set food in what is known

as the usa today....

but yet

THEY STILL TEACHING THAT BULLSHIT

that should tell you everything you need to know..

and a Nation founded on delusional bullshit

cannot stand bruh!!

glad Tom Hanks got the balls to say it, but I dont believe

as a hollywood actor, he never heard of Greenwood

or the few other movies or specials that touched on it..

I aint mad at him, it always needs to be Remembered

ALWAYS!!

I only learned about Tulsa from my uncle who had a big ass picture in his living room of black wall street and he always pointed to that shit talkin bout victory will be ours one day.. mind you he been pointing to that picture lookin at me saying that since I was 6 yrs old and I ain’t know what that old nigga was talkin about..

I finally asked him when I was 13 and he told me the entire story and pretty much introduced me into how America view us.. God bless that righteous old nigga dude is one of a kind

Of course, make no mistake the timing is not coincidental. The liberals are desperate and use emotional shit like this, to manipulate us into voting for them. Instead of giving us real change, and real solutions to fix our problems.
they are great at manipulating the feminine minded portion of our people that operate on emotion and nothing moves them more than seeing the white man acknowledge them.

And like clockwork the people on BGOL that are always calling someone a “cac” or “coon” are the main ones in the thread saying they “just found out about it too”.

@850credit I’ve been telling you about these pro-whites. They are devious and deceitful and will try to do whatever a white man or woman tells them as long as it continues to oppress the so-called black community.

Tom Hanks: I just found out about Tulsa and you know what, I’m mad about it!

So-called super pro-black poster on BGOL:
I just found out about it too, Tom! Fuck all them cacs that did it and if you aren’t riding for Tom you are a coon

:smh:

Typical dictatorship mentality and lack of critical thinking skill of this board.

If/then statements.

If you don't agree with me (cause I'm the arbitrator of what is and isn't Black) then you must be coon/CAC/working for the "opps" or whatever the "culture" says these days.

Ridiculous and a waste of time and energy to argue which is why I stopped.

Not surprising at all. For years White people have skewed the history that this taught to favir their agenda. Ever heard of the Confederate Daughters of America?

And it’s happening again. The furor over Critical Race
Theory, which is rarely taught in P-12 schools, is actually about something more fundamental:

Whether or not schools should teach a full and accurate history of race in America.

"As a nation we hate history. What we love is nostalgia. We certainly don't want to deal with hard history- aspects of the past which make us uncomfortable."

- Dr. Hasan Jefferies, The Ohio State

"It's not important Tom, because it happened to Black people.
The collective Black Experience in America isn't real American History.
Only when White people lose their lives and property is it to be considered American history.
Real American tragedies are events like The Civil War, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor or September 11.
Not The Tulsa Massacre of 1921 where we should hold White people EXCLUSIVELY as the perpetrators of mass Black genocide.
But don't worry Tom. We'll never bring horrific tragedies like that up. We'll just continue to blame Black people for their own problems.".
:hmm:

When in the watchmen movie did they mention the massacre

He knew about it. His career is about over. He's done it all in film.
He can say whatever he wants now.
The Rosewood movie came out in 1997.
Hanks didn't say anything about that. Too busy making movies.
He had better not had said anything during that time. Career would've been over.

I'm glad he acknowledged this.

I didn't know 2 years ago either
Till Game started talking about it years ago I didn't know either, I have a black history book from back in the 80s I used for middle school and high school projects the book is close to 300 pages and doesn't contain even close to all the massacre's Cacs have committed and it's written by a black historian:smh:

I grew up in Tulsa.

I have family that had businesses burned down.

I didn't know about "it" until I was a senior in high school when I just happened to hear my grandmother mention something about bullets still being found at a park in what used to be Black Wallstreet.

Asked my history teacher about it, he knew nothing of it, so I ended up having to do a presentation.

Older black folks don't talk about it.

Believe me when I say this my elders talked about alot of bad shit Cacs did back in the day but till access to the internet came it opened up a Pandora's Box cacs didn't want opened why do you think CRT became the big push.

Props to the fam on here who are speaking up about not knowing the histories.

It stuns me to still hear and read those things but I’ve heard it enough that I’m not surprised by it anymore. Lots of families, faith organizations, and schools aren’t teaching this info anymore. Yes, there are films, community theater plays, art, community events that do pass the knowledge on but those are being devalued whereas Black History (Month) is being commercialized.

Information is out there about the Greenwood district of Tulsa, the Sweet Auburn district of Atlanta, Welston of Greater St. Louis and East St. Louis, Rosewood, the beach & travel communities and so much more. We just need more catalyst to trigger people teaching and or learning about them.

¹
The Blackest amongst us didn't know of Tulsa until 2 years ago?
Ultra Black Democrat doesn't know his own history

Nobody is surprised about that. I already called you pro-whites out.

You fags are cracKKKas so your ancestors probably told you ALL about how they killed us in Tulsa back then.

All yall acting surprised that I didn't know... I'll bet that MOST of bgol didn't know about this atrocity in school because crackkkas purposely didn't put it in history books.

All yall with the surprised emoji need to go sit the fuck down somewhere because it was a very well kept secret forever. ...and then you have these clowns and coons cosigning @xfactor and his ilk in this thread. Foh.

Legit trauma. My elders don’t talk much about things but when they do…SHIIIIIIIIT! There’s a lot of pain and anger behind their words.

He won’t do shit but the pro-whites will be happy to see he mentioned it because they love it when a so-called white man acknowledges them.
So I know people are going to ask what are you going to do about it. Which is a valid question.

But, I think him using his celebrity to bring awareness to this and framing it in a way that CACs can relate to it is huge!!! One of the reasons I like the movie "A Time to Kill" other than the those CACs gets blasted, is that it states a known but unspoken fact that black people have known for years which is that in order for white people to truly empathize with black folk, they have to picture themselves in our plight.

Tom is doing this. When I talk to white people about black history I always tell them that it is their history. It's US history. And they should feel cheated that they are not getting the full story about our country. This always resonates with them.

Exactly the cacs got what they wanted

"You kn!ggers bet not ever try no shit like this again, don't even think it!"

So the elders don't even talk about one of the most traumatic events ever.......

We live in a country that says;

never forget 911,
but get over racism / slavery

America is the greatest country in the world,
While ignoring declining education, agriculture and wealth compared to other developed countries.

My body my choice to wear a mask,
No BITCHES you can't have abortions because we said so!!

This is America!!,
But damn I miss the Confederacy.....

Cacs biggest fear, we stop bring so "nice" with this equality movement and really start seeking revenge!

I’m broke as fuk and I knew. Who was supposed to tell you? You did a good job capturing CAC events for Forrest Gump. If your rich and don’t know history, then you didn’t want to know. Not a good look Tom!

The rich are not as historically knowledgeable as some assume. His anger is directed at the school he went to that chose to brush over the events of Tulsa. Honestly, most people did not know about the atrocity of Tulsa until the HBO Wachmen series was released.

Luckily I went to a majority Black high school and had a history teacher that would teach us about shit that wasn’t in the books. That’s how I learned about it .

None of CAC's atrocities committed against blacks and other immigrants are taught in public schools! I learned all this shit long after I stopped going to school. They erect statues of people who have done evil shit! And of course, they are trying to keep this information out of the school curriculum. White people are just evil, evil people!

The Gap Band's You dropped a bomb on me is about Tulsa Massacre

Several of you mofos keep bringing up that Gap Band song and once again you're just pulling shit out of your ass because the song has NOTHING to do with the Tulsa massacre and Charlie Wilson already debunked that bullshit.

This is how rumors are started... one stupid person says something in a thread and other dumb people cosigns it. Americans are so easily manipulated, its downright sad.

I didn't find the details below out until about two years ago.

Peckawoods folks came back the following year and burned down Greenwood again.

Peckawoods folks also forced black folks in the surrounding towns of Tulsa out by gun.

He's right. Sorry to say but most white people are ignorant of whats occurred in history.

The same is thing is happening to the immigrant class over the last 20 years.

This is the frustration that FBAs go through when giving first had accouns of our history.

Whites/immigrants have been taught a guilt free white washed history. Whites will justify it because they feel it creates and order of peace.

Whites are allowed to have a "good guy superhero" complex while blinding committing atrocities. Are they stupid? I wouldn't call them naturally stupid but miseducated to keep them from going mad with guilt.

Once you realize you are not a god but the devil it can become either cause depression or feelings of empowerment. This is an extreme Bipolar situation that is reflected in the actions of whites.

They overreact then feel either extreme guilt or empowerment. By constantly acting on both extremes they never find an empathetic middle ground.

The funniest part is that they need you around for self assurance.

With no black people around they have to look in the mirror and see the monster and the man then wonder how to deal with himself.

Tom is looking in the closet and he doesn't like what he sees. The skeletons are high as a mountain.

Someone must have told rhem that in order to reach the next level they must seek atonement.

The high power tells that antonement cannot be given without the aggrieved partys forgiveness. That applies to black and white.

They want to fool you into forgiveness because they have been cursed by root and spell. The ancestors have spoken and it is not our decision to make.

Until they have been made whole the curse shall stand. The die has been cast.

Yeahh!!! Finally got my Witchdoctor Cert in Spells/Roots.
