I was watching the game but I was also multitasking…”Surfing the net and BGOL” so I don’t remember that exact play.
Was there a question was he out of bounds and is that why they reviewed the play is what I want to know?
Well you told me he was a untouchable so now Herro can go lol? Your team old and injured. I’d keep Herro if I were y’all.when you package it with herro and picks and get another star
Lol nah I wasn't moving him and half the team for HardenWell you told me he was a untouchable so now Herro can go lol? Your team old and injured. I’d keep Herro if I were y’all.
Damn. That's some Kings/Lakers 2002 shit.
But hey, NBA refs basically do WWE shit and have been for years. They pulled that shit in the 2006 NBA finals too. Refs should be required to do deathbed confessions to explain some of their fuckery.
Now they review every 3

Miami always had a problem with scoring; I think thats moreso Miami than Boston defense though...Miami was 6 for 30 from three
That was the game

it shows the mind frame shift in the sport. in the early 00s 90s and 80s EVERY PERSON would have drove to the basket and forced overtime. Jimmy put that shit up with 17.9 seconds on the clock...down by 2 with only one person in any position to try to stop him.
this "launch 3s at will" mentality may be exciting to watch but its fucked up basic common sense in the game. And thats not the only time thats happened. Players have poor clock management/awareness and it seems to be rooted in the up tick of shooting 3s as a first choice.
And even if he had hit it boston would have still had 16 seconds to get a shot off themselves before OT.
that was just poor decision making on butlers part.![]()
I agree that he should have either shot a mid range jumper or driven to the basket, but the more I think about it, the more it seems like it was an act of desperation.
He knew that they wouldn't survive an overtime anyway, so he wanted to try to put the game away at that moment. He was already gassed, and probably wouldn't have been very effective in overtime.
Other than Bam, he was out there by himself. Tucker had zero points and had a - 16 +/-, Lowery was making dumbass plays and would have found a way to fuck up in overtime, & Herro played almost 7 minutes and had zero points.
Same thing I was saying, even if he decided to take the 3 he should have stopped and gathered himself, letting a few more seconds run off the clock and then shoot it
Nah you don't think about what might happen in overtime you try your best to take it to overtime to give yourself a chance to pull it out. Butler isn't a good 3 point shooter and doesn't even take them often so coming down court full speed and pulling up like that was definitely a bad decision

Them dudes ended up not being worth a damn though. Jimmy and Bam the only two consistent options.Lol nah I wasn't moving him and half the team for Harden
