I just purchased my first handgun today a 9MM Glock. Given the fact that I have report to work in a crime area where there have been carjackings I thought it prudent. I haven't carried a weapon since Desert Storm when I was in Saudi Arabia,

yep-this is the playbook everytime a shooting happens:
1) white man or white-identfying person committs a mass murder
2) politicians create legislation to "prevent future attacks"
3) police are given guidance and money to enforce said legislation at their discretion
4) police enforce it on black ppl-with little to no enforcement on other races
More unarmed Black men are shot and gun violence including mass shootings carry on unabated.
I feel like the cycle is reaching indifference. We've passed outrage. Looks like we're back to living our lives. Once again oblivious. Congress hasn't done a damn thing. Now all that's left is our next "mental illness" mishap & the cycle repeats itself.
Yeah Biden didn't handle it properly. I would have called for an emergency session fuck the holiday break and made Republicans vote on some of the common sense reform or at least the assault weapons ban.
