Anybody remember Blitzkrieg? He was such a phenomenal athlete and wrestled some of the best cruiserweights of all time in his day. He was like a cross between Great Muta, Ultimo Dragon, Rey Mysterio, and Tiger Mask. He was so fluid in the ring. I remember watching Nitro with my mouth wide open whenever watching his matches.
What was the reason he retired?Bruh….thanks for this. Amazing! Never seen nor heard of this dude! This why I love BGOL. Y’all stay dropping some fire in some kinda way!!
What was the reason he retired?
NiiiiiceHe retired to become a full-time computer technician which is what he ultimately wanted to do. Professional wrestling was just a hobby for him. He only wrestled from 94' to 99.
That's nutsGoodness….hope he’s ok.
Not interested enough to even care.....@EPDC already hates it
YesWhat nWo?
Now I need to look up that info

What nWo?
That's the first time I've heard this or I just forgot about it. That's neat.Yeah, the nWo idea was inspired by the NJPW/UWFi invasion storyline that happened in 95'/96'. Bischoff travel frequently to Japan in the early 90's to watch NJPW shows. In 96' at the Tokyo dome NJPW/UWFi run a super show where UWFi wrestlers defeated a lot of the NJPW wrestlers. There were 60,000 in attendance shell shocked by what happened. Bischoff decided that he wanted to recreate something like that in America hence the nWo was born. Essentially the nWo would invade WCW and the rest is history.
I'm no Eric Bischoff fan, but to say he got "lucky" off the NWO is just a stupid comment. The guy sounds like a complete mark.
That's where they messed up, they completely ran it into the ground... They had to much going on with it and then Goldberg and Bret and then Wolfpack and warriors oWn just got ridiculous! I'm sure the elite will do a great job fixing it where the nWo failed...In retrospect that was the best thing Bischoff ever came up with. WCW was floundering as a company before the nWo angle turned things around. Then Bischoff rested on his laurels and ran the nWo thing into the ground. He really had nothing else on that same level after that.
