What’s your favorite of them - I remember some love for the AMC+ joint w/Preacher actor/production team ties. Forget what it’s called but I just snagged AMCPlus for BETTER CALL so I’ll take a look at that one too

Favorite?

I can't say yet but right now?

1883 was really really good

That dirty black bag is good

A couple more I gotta start including yellowstone, godless, I gotta finish hell on wheels, westworld, wild west chronicles, and there a few brand new ones too.

Godless bro. That shit needs to get back on my watchlist.

Can I watch 1883 w/o watching Yellowstone?

Godless was great. Wish it ran longer as it was only 7 - 8 eps.

Yes, you can watch 1883 before seeing Yellowstone. They only briefly preview 1883 in a scene or two in the most recent Yellowstone. And it being set approx 140 years prior it’s like a real, real throwback / origin story of sorts. All characters that are unfamiliar to us. Well acted too. It’s a slow build but has some good tense scenes when it wants to.

Barry season 3 got off to a good start. We rewatched the season 2 finale beforehand as the show has been off the air for a few years. That 2nd season finale was great. Cold blooded.

Episode 3 of Better Call Saul was great on Monday. That final 10 minutes. Wow.

Finishing up SAUL today. At that last 10 mins now. Shit is clearly about to go OFFT lol

and while I know there’s an ATL thread - I just peeped that stand alone ATL Episode I think it’s 4

“big payback” (ADOS) episode…

GOT DAMN. yep. WHOLE LOT goin on in there.
I’m bout to hop on into our ATL thread but damn

also went back to BARRY S1 since I never finished it.wasnt sure I wanted to deal with big breaks in between seasons - and now I don’t have to

HEY - any updates on how RAISED BY WOLVES S2 is? That shit was like 60/40 maybe for me S1… early enough in pandemic that I was watching anything lol

are both godless and 1883 standalone like limited series? Or do they leave you hanging for S2 etc?

Godless was a limited series. As for 1883, at first it sounded limited too, but there’s been rumblings of an eventual 2nd season. Maybe several decades later - further back story on the “Dutton” family. Hopefully the next Yellowstone season is better. This most recent season was lukewarm and previous seasons were considerably better.

That ending to episode 3 was intense. He knew his fate was sealed. Great acting.

Have not seen Raised by Wolves, but have seen the positive reviews on BGOL.

Gonna check back in on the Atlanta thread soon too.

Yes - good time to get back to watching Barry. Avoiding the long breaks between seasons. We came to the series late and saw s1 and s2 in late-2020 and early-2021. Easy to get through shows like Barry, Hacks, ATL and Mr. Inbetween with the shorter episodes.

61st Street on AMC The critics are right it is an instantly involving series . I immediately felt something for the characters and the situations they find themselves in. Looking forward to the next episodes

We Own This City on HBO Lining up to be another great series from the people behind The Wire. Jon Bernthal turning in another great performance and the always watchable and great Wunmi Mosaku displaying her talents in this show that is Based on the book "We Own This City: A True Story of Crime, Cops and Corruption" by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton, this gritty drama chronicles the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force.

Farewell to Better Things on FX . I didnt fully get on board with some of the things Pamela Adlon's Sam did at times but it was still a good show. The series finale was kind of annoying at times but i guess wanted to be poetic and playful i will always love Mikey Madison who portrayed her daughter Max

Moon Knight Episode 5 It was a great wounded psyche episode. Some people are saying the last episode airing the same week as Doctor Strange will mean something but i kind of doubt it.
