Claims that a member of the VDV was stealing from civilians before being killed. VDV was previously viewed as elite airborne troops. From Ukrainian Telegram so who knows how accurate this is as something like this is easily faked. Claims that his name has Ukrainian origins which is why he is being displayed like this. Essentially, they view him as coon. :smh:

Putin's advisers afraid to tell truth as Russian troops accidentally shoot down own aircraft, spy chief says

Sir Jeremy Fleming, the head of GCHQ, used the rare public speech to say it increasingly looks like Russia's President Vladimir Putin "has massively misjudged the situation" in Ukraine.

Demoralised Russian soldiers in Ukraine have accidentally shot down their own aircraft, sabotaged their own kit, and refused to carry out orders, a British spy chief has claimed.

Sir Jeremy Fleming, the head of GCHQ, said President Vladimir Putin's advisers are afraid to tell him the truth about how badly things are going.

In a rare public speech on Thursday in Australia, the senior intelligence officer also said:

• Wagner Group, the private military company with suspected links to the Kremlin, is understood to be prepared to "send large numbers of personnel into Ukraine to fight alongside Russians"
• Wagner mercenaries are likely to be used as "cannon fodder" to try to limit Russian military losses
• There are indications that Russian cyber attackers are "looking for targets" in the countries that oppose Moscow's actions

The British intervention came as a US official also said accurate information about Russia's failures on the battlefield is not making its way to President Putin "because his senior advisers are too afraid to tell him the truth".

This included not letting him know his military was using conscripts in Ukraine, the official said.

Sir Jeremy made similar remarks in his speech at the Australian National University in Canberra.

"It increasingly looks like Putin has massively misjudged the situation" in Ukraine, he said.

Putin’s Soldiers Caught on Tape Lamenting Losses and Blasting His Army of ‘Stupid Morons’

‘WE’RE DEAD IN THE WATER’
As the Russian president signs a decree to call up another 134,500 conscripts, his troops in Ukraine want out.

2022-03-29T143915Z_1706101090_RC24CT9B8Z8V_RTRMADP_3_UKRAINE-CRISIS_ulcyvr

Russia’s Vladimir Putin is calling up another 134,500 conscripts even as more and more of his own soldiers appear to be turning on him over humiliating losses in Ukraine.

According to a decree published on a Russian government portal Thursday, the troops will be called to begin service on April 1 until July 15. The Defense Ministry promised earlier this week that they “will not be sent to any hot spots,” and that all those called up in last spring’s draft will be sent home.

But those assurances seem likely to be overshadowed by a multitude of reports that say Russia’s senseless war against Ukraine has been marred by lies from the top down, with Russian troops claiming they were misled into the war and Putin’s own advisers said to be shielding him from the extent of the devastating losses.

Even as Putin signed the decree on Thursday, Ukraine’s Security Service released an intercepted call said to capture a Russian soldier railing against the incompetence of his own army.

“Our brigade has totally shit themselves. There are losses, many wounded,” he tells his wife.

Asked if the losses are a result of someone screwing up, he offers a blunt response: “The whole army with us is stupid morons.”

“It’s unclear why we are even here,” he says.

Another recording shared by Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine’s interior minister, captures a man identified as a Russian soldier named Maksim asking his mother what is being shown on Russian television, and if there are reports “they’re saying they will change anything.”

“Everything’s bad, almost no one among us is left. They said we will keep going until the very end, until everyone is killed,” he tells his mother.

Asked if his senior officer was still with the unit, he replies: “No, he dumped us yesterday. We’re all dead in the water if he left.”

The new recordings come just hours after Western officials said there was growing evidence of disarray and disillusionment among Russian troops, with Britain’s spy chief citing reports of troops “refusing to carry out orders, sabotaging their own equipment and even accidentally shooting down their own aircraft.”
Reporting by Meduza on Thursday largely aligned with Western assessments. Citing three sources close to the presidential administration, the news outlet reported that Russian military officials finally came to terms with the fact that they wouldn’t be able to seize control of Kyiv by late March. (Just a month earlier, according to Meduza, they were all but certain that the “special operation” would be quick, and the biggest headache would be organizing work by the “new administrations” put in place by Russia).
But they decided to shift their focus to the Donbas in the country’s east after realizing the full scale of military setbacks—and the damage wrought on the economy by Western sanctions.
Putin was personally presented with the reality of the sanctions only at the end of March, when officials showed him “the country will not be able to live normally under such sanctions,” one source was quoted telling Meduza.
The Russian leader has still not made a final decision on what he’s going to do next, and plenty of those close to him are reportedly pressuring him to go full steam ahead with the onslaught against Ukraine.
But the presidential administration is said to be concerned about how “a possible truce with Ukraine will hit Putin’s [approval] ratings.”
“The citizens were riled up by propaganda. Suppose a decision is made to stop at the territory of the Donbas. What about the Nazis then? Are we no longer fighting them? This word has been hammered into people so much that I can’t imagine how one can stop in Donbas without losing approval ratings,” one source told Meduza.
Perhaps as part of a long game, the Kremlin has now reportedly begun implementing plans to send psychologists from the FSB into Kherson, a city in the south of Ukraine where residents continue to resist the Russian forces who took over after the Feb. 24 invasion.
“To implement a scenario for the creation of another pseudo-republic in the territory of the Kherson region, there is work underway by employees of the FSB, 652 groups of information and psychological operations and officers of the 12th Main Directorate of the [Russian] General Staff,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement Thursday.
Ukrainian officials said the FSB effort is an attempt to brainwash residents into supporting their new Russian authorities.
Russian law enforcement officials, prosecutors, and judges are also said to be on their way to occupied territories in Ukraine, with reports of Russian police officers being asked to take “business trips” to parts of the Donbas in Ukraine’s east.

Zelensky: Two Ukrainian generals dismissed for being ‘traitors’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Thursday that two of his country’s top security officials had been dismissed from their roles as generals for being “traitors.”

“Regarding antiheroes. Now, I do not have time to deal with all the traitors. But gradually they will all be punished,” Zelensky said in a speech.

“That is why the ex-chief of the Main Department of Internal Security of the Security Service of Ukraine Naumov Andriy Olehovych and the former head of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region Kryvoruchko Serhiy Oleksandrovych are no longer generals,” he said.

Zelensky did not elaborate on what had led to the two officials being dismissed, though he noted that under the Ukrainian army’s disciplinary statute officers who “have not decided where their homeland is, who violate the military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people as regards the protection of our state, its freedom and independence” would “inevitably be deprived of senior military ranks.”

During his speech, Zelensky shared that he had spoken with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has sought to act as a mediator between Ukraine and Russia. Zelensky indicated that Turkey had offered to act as a guarantor for Ukraine’s security in the ongoing negotiations.

Zelensky also touched on the ongoing situation in Ukraine’s south and the Donbas region, which is controlled by Russian-backed separatists. Conditions in those areas remain “extremely difficult,” according to the Ukrainian president.

“The invaders are allocating their sick creativity to the temporarily occupied areas of the Kherson region. They are trying to organize some of their incomprehensible structures there, they are trying to figure out how to consolidate their presence there,” said Zelensky.

“Of course, this is hopeless for them. The more active they are there, the more substantial the losses of Russia itself will be in the end. The losses of Russians themselves. Because who else will pay for the occupation of a foreign land?”

Moscow says Ukraine hit a fuel depot inside Russia

April 1 (Reuters) - Russia accused Ukraine of carrying out an air strike against a fuel depot in the Russian city of Belgorod on Friday, an incident the Kremlin said set an unfavourable tone for peace talks with Kyiv.

Ukraine's foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, said he could not confirm or deny reports of Ukrainian involvement in the strike as he did not have military information. The Ukrainian Defence Ministry and the general staff did not respond to requests for comment.

Video footage of the purported attack -- the first accusation of a Ukrainian air strike on Russian soil since Moscow launched its invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24 -- showed what looked like several missiles being fired from low altitude, followed by an explosion. Reuters could not immediately verify the footage.

Regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on messaging app Telegram that two Ukrainian helicopters struck the facility in Belgorod, some 35 kilometres (22 miles) from the border with Ukraine, after entering Russia at low altitude.

The resulting blaze injured two workers, Gladkov added, while some areas of the city were being evacuated.

However, Russian oil firm Rosneft (ROSN.MM), which owns the fuel depot, said in a separate statement that no one was hurt in the fire. The company gave no information on the cause of the fire.

A witness told Reuters that another blast was heard in the city at around 1020 GMT. The cause of the blast was not immediately clear.

Speaking to reporters on a conference call, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said President Vladimir Putin had been briefed about the incident. Peskov said the strike could jeopardise Moscow's peace negotiations with Kyiv.

"Of course this cannot be perceived as creating comfortable conditions for continuing the talks," Peskov said, adding that everything was being done to prevent disruptions in fuel supplies in the city.

In separate comments, Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said the incident would not affect the region's fuel supplies or prices for consumers.

The governor of the neighbouring Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, said its own fuel supplies were sufficient to last several weeks and called on the population not to stockpile fuel.

An ammunition depot near Belgorod caught fire on Wednesday, causing a series of blasts. At the time, Gladkov said authorities were waiting for the Russian defence ministry to establish its cause.

NATO wasn't arming and funding Syria. NATO has private contractors helping with strategic strikes.

This ain't propaganda. Russia is getting its ass kicked and is now in risk of being invaded. Ukraine has 200K troopers in training.

Ukraine has a real chance of taking back Crimea and even doing a few strategic strikes on Moscow with Soviet bought weapons. The ultimate troll.

The sactions have basically made Russia a sitting duck because they can't replace ANY equipment with new parts. Shit that hasn't been maintenanced do to corruption will never be fixed.

Russia is in danger of using its entire battle ready Military in less than a year. Ukraine has an endless supply of NATO weapons on deck.

NATO is full court pressing Russia and has a nation full of thugs armed and ready to to kill any Russian they see.

If Russia wants to use nukes the nuclear fallout will hit Russia first and the hardest. The Ukrainians will give zero fucks about hitting Moscow. Which is something Putin never imagined.

If you take down Moscow and St Petersburg them Russia is donw as a state. People in eastern Russia aren't very Moscow friendly. The Russian troops who are part of the mutiny are probably from the Eastern part of Russia.

Putin better hope his 340K hitmen in Russia know how to deal with an invasion force. Half the GSB wants Putin dead. So do the Oligarchs. Its only a matter of time.

Once his Chechen mobb boss and his biker gang leader go down the cookie is going to really crumble. Its only a matter of time before the money on Putin's head finds the right contactor.

Why Russian radios in Ukraine are getting spammed with heavy metal

Ukrainians are eavesdropping on the invaders and broadcasting on their frequencies

20220402_BLP502.jpg

One of the many surprising failures of the Russian invasion force in Ukraine has been in radio communications. There have been stories of troops resorting to commercial walkie-talkies and Ukrainians intercepting their frequencies. This may not sound as serious as a lack of modern tanks or missiles, but it helps explain why Russian forces seem poorly co-ordinated, are falling victim to ambushes and have lost so many troops, reportedly including seven generals. What is going wrong with Russian radios?

Modern military-grade radios encrypt signals and change the frequency on which they operate many times a second, making their transmissions impossible to intercept. But many Russian forces are communicating on unencrypted high-frequency (HF) channels that allow anyone with a ham radio to eavesdrop. The Russian army does have some modern tech. It started receiving Azart radios, which have built-in encryption and can operate on much higher frequencies, in 2012. Thomas Withington, a military analyst specialising in electronic warfare, says that the Azart system seems adequate, if inferior to the equipment used by NATO forces. But there are not enough radios to go around. Russian news reports have talked enthusiastically about deliveries of a few hundred radios shipped to whole army groups comprising several thousand troops. By the most optimistic estimates only a fraction of the invasion force could have Azart radios.

Russia has enough food products to meet domestic needs — Medvedev

April 01, 20:31
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council assured that the authorities would continue to provide assistance to farmers as a matter of priority
MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Russian food products are quite sufficient to fully meet the country's domestic needs, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel. He added that deliveries to other countries are possible, but only to friendly ones.
"Diverse and delicious Russian food products are enough to fully meet our domestic needs," he wrote.
Medvedev assured that the authorities will continue to provide assistance to farmers as a matter of priority.
"The priority in food supplies is our domestic market. And price control. At the same time, the state will continue large-scale and systematic assistance to farmers," he said.
Medvedev stressed that Russia will sell food and crops only to friendly countries.
"We will supply food and crops only to our friends (fortunately we have a lot of them, and they are not at all in Europe and not in North America). We will sell both for rubles and for their national currency in agreed proportions," the politician wrote.
"We will not supply our products and agricultural products to our enemies, and we will not buy anything from them," he added.
Medvedev emphasized that although Russia has not been buying a number of Western food products since 2014, "the list of products prohibited for import can still be expanded."

Quiet but formidable weapon

Speaking about food security, the deputy head of the Security Council stressed that many countries depend on food supplies from Russia, and this, in his words, is "a quiet but formidable weapon."
"I remember that in my childhood, the USSR bought grain from Canada. It was strange, the largest country buying wheat for dollars. Today, the picture is completely different: Russia is the largest grain producer, along with India and China. And in recent years, the largest exporter of wheat. It so happened that the food security of many countries depends on our supplies. It turns out that our food is our silent weapon. Quiet but formidable," he wrote.
He recalled that the export of Russian agricultural products "exceeds the export of real weapons, it amounted to more than $37 billion last year.".

Ummmm This must be Russians living there

No doubt this occurred today as credible accounts verified it and pointed out that the Russian expats in Germany are now acting like the Turkish ones.
Notice the flags (Serbian, Hungarian, old USSR flag, even the Kazakh flag etc.) Lots of right wing pro russian expats and pro russian German right wingers but also elections today in Hungary and Serbia with Putin essentially on the ballot because of Orbán.

When people say something is propaganda it isn't because they disagree with the content but, rather, with the way that the facts have been twisted for a particular purpose. Effective propaganda requires an elementnt of truth so, in this case, the truth is that people gathered in Berlin for a pro russian rally. The video claims 5,000 cars in order to suggest that Russia has wide support in Germany which is absolutely false. Watch the clip again and think about this:

Your average vehicle is around 14 feet. "5000" 14 foot cars lined up end to end would amount to 70,000 feet or a little over 13 miles. Where in Berlin (where this comes from) could a 13+ mile caravan gather? The driving distance from near my place in midtown manhattan to Park Slope in Brooklyn to visit friends is around 7 miles. Does this protest look like damn near double that distance?

The Russians use the same bullshit tactics the right wing here uses (caravans of millions of truckers, bikers etc.) because they are the ones who taught our idiots here.

Here is a great example. Official estimate of 5,000 bikers =

bikers-at-trump-rally-not-one-arrest.jpg

Another group named itself "2 Million Bikers to DC" because the reporting would have to mention the name and give the idea of millions of angry cacs flooding dc. They used the same fake blurry pictures but claimed millions of bikers were coming. In reality, there were fewer people than at a Wizards game.
