Following the end of the Kansas City Chiefs season, Patrick Mahomes had a sit-down meeting with his family, who have sort of become distraction for Mahomes for their antics during games and according to Rich Ohrnberger of FOX Sports Radio, the meeting concluded with all parties agreeing that Mahomes’ fiancé and brother won’t be attending any games this upcoming season.

According to Ohrnberger, Mahomes believe that Jackson and Brittany’s sidelines antics, which have included throwing water at fans in Baltimore, dancing on a mural for Sean Taylor and spraying champagne on Chiefs fans have not just been a distraction but also have impacted Mahomes’ brand negatively.
Ohrnberger does note that things could change but one thing is for certain, we will se a much more toned down Mahomes’ family.

There were reports that Rams head coach Sean McVay, despite his young age, could step away from coaching if Los Angeles won the Super Bowl, to which of course they did.

Despite McVay denying those reports on multiple occasions, the allure of making double what he’s making currently may change some things.
According to Bleacher Report, the 36-year old could be offered up to $15 million annually. McVay currently makes $8.5 a year as head coach.

The trend of networks going off coaches and retired QBs has been hot in recent years following the success of Tony Romo calling games, and McVay would surely bring a similar energy and that ever so sought-after innate football IQ to any telecast.

McVay is under contract with the Rams through the 2023 season, so it's not unrealistic to think he'll coach through the remainder of his current deal before coming to the decision to retire.

The 36-year-old also has a highly impressive record as head coach of the Rams, going 55-26 in five seasons, including two Super Bowl appearances in the last four years.

When he officially decides to retire, there's no doubt a broadcasting job will be there waiting for him, but for now, it certainly seems like he's dedicated to running it back with Matthew Stafford and Co. in 2022.

“I can’t substantiate the information that I tweeted out earlier today regarding Patrick Mahomes and his family,” Ohrnberger said, via Chron.com. “The source I received this information from was posing as someone I trust. I will delete this tweet later today along with the original thread. Please pass this along.”

Van Jefferson chose the perfect name for his son who was born on Super Bowl Sunday

February 13 is a day Van Jefferson will never forget. Not only did he become a Super Bowl champion when the Rams beat the Bengals, 23-20, but his wife gave birth to their son shortly after the game ended.

Jefferson rushed from SoFi Stadium to the hospital after learning that his wife was in labor, cutting his celebration with the team short in order to try to be there for the birth of his son. Unfortunately, he revealed on The Adam Schefter Podcast that traffic prevented him from getting to the hospital in time, but he watched from the car on FaceTime. And after the dust settled from a hectic post-Super Bowl week, Jefferson revealed the name of his son: Champ.

That wasn’t always the planned name, but after the way everything happened on Super Bowl Sunday, it was only appropriate to go with Champ.

“It wasn’t always picked,” he said. “We were really thinking about ‘Wynn’ and ‘Miles’ but then it was like, I think it’s very fitting to name him Champ. And we just looked it up and Champ is like a warrior. And my wife is a warrior. What she did that whole game and what she did throughout the whole week of the Super Bowl, the week of Super Bowl being so crazy, he’s a champ and she’s a warrior, so Champ Curtis Jefferson. That’s the name we got.”

Jefferson and his wife couldn’t have picked a more fitting name for their new child. He said the timing of the Super Bowl and birth of their son is something he and his wife will “always cherish, something we will always remember and be grateful for.”

“I don’t think anything will be able to top this, for sure,” Jefferson said.

It’s quite the story they’ll have to tell their son when he gets older, sharing the inspiration behind his awesome name.

They aren’t unsubstantiated rumors, they are straight up LIES made up by these people. They do it because most times the athlete/celebrity doesn’t even respond to it. All these media heads like ADAM SCHEFTER, Chris Broussard, etc…just make up stuff and try and say their sources told them. It’s getting so bad that dudes like Skip Bayless and former players like the guy above are making up stuff and then the other media start acting like it’s the truth

For the 2022 season, the Monday Night doubleheader will feature one game on ESPN and one game that will air on ABC.

According to the Sports Business Journal, the twist here is that a portion of both games will be airing on the same, which is something the league has been against for some time with their prime-time slots.

The tentative plan would be for one game to start at 7 p.m. eastern time and then for the other game to start at 8 p.m. eastern time, which means there would be roughly two hour window where the two games would be airing at the same time.

The report also states that the doubleheader will likely take place at some point during the first four weeks of the season.

ESPN had previously announced that there would be a Monday doubleheader in 2022, but the fact that the two games will be airing at the same time is new information.

I like Ryan Clark...he's essentially calling out ESPN in this clip for worshipping Aaron Rodgers every day. i really wish there were covering more of the legal situations with the NFL now, but i know they are partners with the NFL and they will only do so much investigative journalism, between Ian Rappoport and Adam Schefter, those are the gatekeepers..

Leaked Footage Of Trey Lance Practicing Sets Social Media On Fire (VIDEO)

Yeah fam, I saw that a couple days ago
With the weapons he already has, Trey doesn't even have to do much to be successful
I don't get this narrative that "He's not ready to start, etc, etc"

He'll have a good rum game + Deebo + Kittle + our 3rd pass catcher Brandon Aiyuk + a decent defense
Plus Shannahan scheming guys wide open
All Trey has to do is just manage the game
And anything else on top of that is just gravy

I'm curious to see what happens with these young QB's next season

1. Mac Jones
I can see him having a Kirk Cousins type of year
I think he'll put up some serious numbers during the regular season
But when the weather gets cold & windy in December/January, his lack of arm strength might cause him to struggle a bit

2. Trey Lance
I'm a homer, so you know I'm going to hope for the best, LOL
For the first few weeks, there will be some growing pains
But honestly he "should" be able to at least manage games

3. Trevor Lawrence
A new system he has a learn + a new coaching staff
Plus the team still doesn't have the talent/weapons to compete with everyone else

4. Justin Fields
See Trevor Lawrence situation
But at least the Bears have a few good players here & there

5. Zach Wilson
They have quite a few draft picks
Plus I think they have some money to bring in free agents
So, 2nd year same coach, and the same system
But a tough division though

What do yall think ???
