They seem to be more civilized than the U.S. Here they would try to murder politicians claiming mental illness with no clear motive for their attack. We had this during the Civil Rights era, civil disobedience which informs the public, leading to change at the ballot box.

You can't show weakness like they did in the U.S. with letting a politician get shot in the head, covering it up, than groveling/pandering to these lunatic fringe for votes during the election season. The next thing you know it will be this on January 6 or another shooting.
I don't mind the civil disobedience but if they disrupt too much activity, it could be seen as intimidating the government, infringing on the rights on other people. My rights were infringed when these terrorist started killing politicians. They now pander to these people out of fear and I suffer. It has now become lawless and I am forced to leave the U.S. Hopefully, this energy does not turn to violence and it is channeled into a democratic process and guaranteed human rights are respected.
Now I am open to authoritarianism seeing how democracy can be a force of oppression for minority groups/people.

Bro, this is Canada. FDA has nothing to do with this. Everyone entering into a foreign country has to be vaccinated. Transportation is the number one way viruses spread. I wanna support them but I don't want a new variant of Covid here. I feel you tho.

From reports I’ve seen on this, the trucking industry doesn’t have a problem with this. It’s reporting that 90% of truckers were vaccinated. Often times, right wing actions and demonstrations have deeper plots than what is initially represented in the news, like Jan. 6.
Remove the reason why they are there and call this what it is, you have an occupying mass of people setting up blockades into and out of a nations capital by road and trying to by air. Another attack by right wing members on a national capital.
