Mina Kimes got the last laugh in her war of words with Jeff Garcia after the 49ers’ 20-17 upset by the Rams in Sunday’s NFC Championship game.
After 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo threw an interception with less than two minutes left in the game, Kimes shared a funny meme, seemingly trolling Garcia, a former NFL quarterback, who took a shot at her last week over her critique of Garoppolo.

Fans had a field day in the comments, with one person pointing out that Garcia changed his once public Instagram account to private.

“Jeff Garcia knew that head was commin…,” a Twitter user replied to Kimes’ meme that showed a man cringing with a red solo cup.
Garcia went on a rant about Kimes in a since-deleted Instagram post, calling her a “joke” for her analysis about Garoppolo.

He said Kimes has “never ever taken a snap or can truly understand the ability, the mindset, the physical and mental toughness that it takes to play the QB position or any position in the NFL.”

Last Tuesday, Kimes appeared on ESPN’s “First Take,” and argued that Garoppolo wasn’t helping the 49ers win.

“Since joining the Niners, he has two touchdowns and five interceptions in the postseason,” she said. “These are not advanced statistics. The dude is just simply not helping them win.”

Kimes later hit back at Garcia on Twitter, writing, “Apparently I was the only person last week to point out Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t play well.”
Garcia then called into 95.7 The Game’s “Steiny & Guru” in San Francisco to explain himself and said his comments about Kimes were “nothing sexist,” and that he doesn’t “owe anybody an apology for my beliefs and my experience at playing the quarterback position.”

On Monday’s episode of ESPN’s “First Take,” host Stephen A. Smith took a shot at Garcia while recapping the Rams-49ers game.

“We don’t hear anything from you today,” he said about Garcia, who played quarterback for San Francisco from 1999 to 2003. “You should be apologizing on national television to Mina Kimes with your trifling self.”

Smith’s co-host, Molly Qerim defended Kimes on the show last week.

All eyes are now on Garoppolo, who possibly played his final game for San Francisco before a possible trade or release this offseason.

Mina Kimes is U-gly. I turn whenever she's on.

Stephen A. Telling someone they should apologize on National TV...you mean like you were made to do on multiple occasions to keep your job you groveling pos?

Whether she's ugly or not, i dont think that it invalidates the point that she made...I dont think Hannah Storm or Andrea Kremer were cute but that doesn't mean they couldn't make good points..

This situation is over blown big time. Jeff Garcia was not criticizing her of her opinion about JG play, he took issue with the comment “definition of being part of the group project that gets an A while doing none of the work. That has nothing to do with his play, he shouldn’t have attacked her for never playing professionally but I have heard athletes criticize Stephen A and Skip Bayless about not playing professionally and nobody say shit! It’s whatever man!

She could argue like a Superlawyer and I would not know because I wouldn't be watching. She's in the entertainment business and I am not entertained by her.

Listening to unattractive women make arguments is not what I do with my off time.

So when Shannon Sharpe said it the other day its fine. But when she says the same thing he said it's wrong. Garcia is only mad cause the same was said about him.

Skip, Stephen A, Colin and all of these other talking heads been dogging players for years. Where has this outrage been against them.

You really need to just shut the fuck up. :smh:
If you’re not of the culture, how can you determine what is an asian woman’s finest qualities?

I think Asian women are the worst. But I’m a black man in America. What do I really know about Asian women?

Molly came at Jeff as if he was degrading women for commenting on football. I’m not sensing that’s the case, rather Jeff is pissy because he experienced similar criticism.

You know something?

I ain't see that way but... damn you made me think

Still he fumbled.

And then after Jimmy G performance

Jeff looks even WORSE.

He spoke out of turn, threw a fit, doubled down, then got embarrassed proven wrong ridiculed then ran and hid.

Just saying that some sucker sh*t.

Imagine if he had just kept his mouth shut?

Which apparently in this world folk just cannot do anymore.

Shannon Sharpe absolutely has the right to say it. He’s one of the best football players of all time. He’s been on that stage before.

Garcia did not say anything like “Stay in the kitchen” or “Stop talking about sports dumb female”.

She’s never been to a NFC championship game as the QBr right? Thrown one NFL touchdown right? Same goes for Skip, Cowherd, SAS……athletes have a right to tell these muthafuckas to STFU

When Jalen Rose came for Skip Bayless’ neck, it was beautiful. When Jim Rome got pushed, it was great.

People too damn sensitive.
