Tiffany Haddish has been arrested and is facing a DUI charge in Peachtree City, Georgia.

The Night School actress, 42, was allegedly found 'dozing in the driver's seat' of her car early on Friday morning, according to a report from TMZ.

Soon after her mug shot was released where the star could be seen smiling as she wore her hair in a short gray buzz cut as she went makeup free.

The star has been in Georgia to shoot the film Haunted Mansion with co-stars Owen Wilson and Rosario Dawson for Walt Disney Productions.

Officers told the site they believed that she had been smoking marijuana.

The site also looked at her arrest record which noted she had posted $1,666 to bond to get out of jail around 6:30 AM.

The arrest took place around 4 am eastern time in Georgia, it was claimed.

Police approached the star's vehicle after a concerned citizen had called about a woman sleeping in her car.

After officers woke her up, she was arrested for suspicion of a DUI as well as stopping on a roadway in a manner that was not safe for traffic.

Apparently Tiffany - who split from musician Common in November - had not properly pulled off the road for her nap.

It was also claimed that when police officers spotted her vehicle, she was just pulling off the road. By the time they looked in her window, she had already been resting, it was alleged.

Haddish was arrested by Peachtree City PD officers, police told the site. Peachtree City is the largest city in Fayette County, Georgia.

Tiffany was taken to police headquarters and was in custody for 'a few hours,' according to the site. She seemed to be in custody from 4 am to 6:30 am.

Her mothers crazy and so is she because she shows signs of it by being really intelligent ,driven, funny, successful, but needy and now here comes the crash and the burn.

It says she was falling asleep at the wheel, it doesn't say she was sleeping in the car.

OK. How did police get a call about a woman sleeping in the car and get there fast enough to say she was justpulling off the road....wierd.

Also, why people who can afford it, going out to party and driving themselves? Uber and Lyft are so damn easy!

Confusing story.

  • "It was also claimed that when police officers spotted her vehicle, she was just pulling off the road"

I read it early this morning and it said almost the same as what is posted here except they said it was 2:30 am.

But they also said somebody called and reported someone sleeping in their car and the police showed up.

I have seen other incidents where they have gone after people sleep in their cars on the sid of the road or in parking lots

Wasn't that how they " feared for their lives " with that dude last summer ?

i had to read that article about 3 times trying to figure out how everything went together

arrested for Driving Under the Influence and you're in your car sleep?

ok
Real talk, as long as you are in the driver's seat and the car can be operated (I.E. keys in the ignition), you meet the standard. I had a friend that got hassled by a cop for checking his phone as he got into his car because he said that dude was looking at his phone. Mind you, they were in a parking lot, and he says the cop watched him get into the car, so it's not like he didn't realize that he just sat down.

The only thing that kept him out of trouble was that he had left his phone somewhere, so he didn't even have it on him. Otherwise, dude probably would have written him a ticket "just because". A cop's word is always going to carry more weight than yours in court, and they know that. Shit's not right, but it sure as hell happens.

The only thing that might get this tossed is that there seems to be two separate accounts of what happened. So whatever setup was going on, someone didn't get the memo, and that might cost them a court case.

Fun fact: I caught a DUI charge the same way.

It was thrown out cause the I blew under the limit and the cop never showed up to court.

Cop was a Black dude too. He was a complete asshole about the situation.

I parked behind a business to get some sleep. Next thing I know, dude was knocking on my window with a flashlight.

Oh....I had been been drinking, but I wasn't stumbling drunk and was in control. He assessed, per his bullshit field exam, that I was under the influence and arrested me. Spent 10 hours in jail. $100 to bond out. $150 tow fee. That was the extent of the out of pocket money. Like, I said, bogus case, that's why that idiot didn't show up to court. DISMISSED!

The article isn't making any sense.

The police were called because of a report of a woman sleeping in her car. They observed that she was pulling off of the road, then had to wake her up when they got to her car?

Was her car moving while she was asleep?
