What is the general opinion on these types of relationships?

As people get older we realize that not everyone will be happy with just 1 person forever. Is it better to open yourself to adding a 3rd person? Or you and your SO come to an agreement of having an "don't ask don't tell" relationship?

The question comes from an observation I made of two family members and a talk with my cousin about how couples take solo vacations with the intent to seek foreign dick/puss.

BULLET represents the side of that lifestyle they don’t want to acknowledge, they want an open relationship but just want it to be one sided but it doesn’t work like that .
