Anybody ever mounted a TV using adhesive?

Heck no,I've tried it all ain't no way around finding the studs in the wall and mounting it to them.

I ain't no handyman at all but I did it....superglue?tape?you better off just sitting it on the floor.

Just like the Command adhesive commercial says (although for a different reason than intended)...

"Stop...Hammer Time!"

Ever mounted a light TV (< 15 lbs) in a spare room with an adhesive, like gorilla tape or something? Or is this an epic fail waiting to happen?

Anyone who thinks that is a good idea or feasible. Likely also believes in some weird shit.

Not a single hung TV in my house. All sitting on stands. Fuck fucking up my walls! Don't like looking up either. I see mufuckas got their TV's damn near up to the ceiling! Nah!

I do hate when the damn TV is hung up too damn high or over the fireplace (unless you have one of those motorized wall mounts that swing down).

Made sure to have the ones that I have hung up at eye level.

nothing over one pound hanging on a wall should be mounted with

adhesives....

you expect to stay on a wall for more than a few years.. then find that stud and get a drill

and some anchors and do it the right away.. its really not that hard at all...

That’s the thing. It’s just temporary so I didn’t want to go through all that:

I purchased a tv stand for all my flat screen tvs:

FITUEYES Universal TV Stand Table Top TV Stand for 27-55

Amazon product ASIN B07QMK748D
The tv was too wide to put it on the surface because the legs are on the far right and left, so the stand was perfect.

Thanks. Seems like the best solution.

I hung my 65 inch over my fireplace myself. Use thin finishing nails to find the studs/boards. Go from bottom of baseboard, wall sockets, go up vertically ( see YouTube) sometimes asshole builders will offset fireplaces so you may make a few holes in the walls but if your nail doesn’t have any resistance don’t hang that mf up cause that’s all Sheetrock. It may get tacked for a min but that shits coming down at some point! I’m not an expert and it was my first time. I used a good stud finder but that mf was giving me false info, also you may pierce some of your wiring too like my boy did. Mf drove A long ass nail into the wall and his lights went out lol        Oops

Don't do it

We mock what we don't understand....Aside from the seven clowns a laffin ..... it's only 15lbs..... spread over the 2-3 mounting points.... and not pulling away from the wall, but across if flat mounted... Gorilla tape's rated to 60lbs.... shit they got picture frames that weigh more than fifteen lbs.... you should be fine as long as the surface is intact and properly prepped... cut it into stips and use about 4-5 eight inch contact points

Fuck it. I’ll give it a shot and will the video on BGOL.

Bro, this is simple. I've mounted 10+ TVs myself over the years and the shit should take you 20-30 mins at best. Measure it out. Use a level to make sure it's straight, and ABSOLUTELY drill your screws into a STUD (shout out to Young MA). But anyway, follow that path and you can't go wrong.

Please do not let anyone talk you into taping a TV to your walls, homie.
