I did 2 basic things. I followed the stats and I talked to the medical professionals in my inner circle (friends and family).
The stats show that the vaccine is very safe and very effective.
The medical professionals I trust ensured me that this virus and its effects arent just media creations and that the vaccine is whats helped the most so far (by a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide margin). Because it lessens the spread and the symptoms significantly.
Im not afraid for myself. Im good healthwise, Haitian so high blood pressure is a birthright, but Ive been an athlete my whole life.
I do have a responsibility to everyone else I come in contact with to keep them as safe as possible, and I want the same for me and mine return.
At this point it was just the logical thing to do.

I would agree. Fear of the unknown regarding putting an experimental drug in my body. I'm definitely more afraid of the experimental shot than I am of covid. But only time will tell what will happen to your body with the vaccine. Your doctor has no idea because the data doesn't exist. But we all have to make our own decisions about this.

By the way, in a few months its gonna be about a year that the most vulnerable folks got the vaccine. If even they arent showing signs of bad side effects, will you still fear the unkown? Or will you need a few more years?

We haven't even examined all of the information about the vaccine deaths and injuries because the government refuses to look at it or even acknowledge that VAERS shows more more injuries and deaths than all other vaccines in the last 20 years. You would think that if VAERS is blowing up like this you'd take a closer look to see if there may be some issues. But nope, nothing to see here, it's safe and effective. Plus you can still catch covid, spread it and die from it even after your 2 or 3 shots. So my only risk is covid. Your risk is covid AND the unknown effects of an experimental drug you put in your body. Vaccine safety testing normally takes years. Not 6 months, 9 months etc...so I'm willing to take my chances with a disease with a 99%+ recovery rate with no treatment for my age group vs programming my body to actually make part of the virus for however long it makes your body do it. We literally have the CDC director saying we don't have the data to support a 3rd shot but she "hopes" it works. She actually said that. So everyone should be able to assess their own risk profile and decide if they want it. But only time will tell if the shots are safe, nothing else.
