Much respect to Naomi Osaka for what she did to take a stand and making these Neanderthals look bad. This was the grand slam tournament to do it too since she isn’t best on clay and will plummet the ratings.

Why is she fragile? A lot of athletes have addressed the issues of constantly having to talk to the press in addition to the pressures of actually playing the game. For the most part talking to the media is bull shit & you get a bunch of stupid assed questions. Hell she could stand up there like Belichick & act like a total asshole, but she's not a white male so that wouldn't fly.

I find it mentally tough for people to have to work 60 hours with multiple jobs and still have to worry about paying rent/mortgage or feeding their families.

What she makes in a tennis match is more than most make in a 15 years. To me that is being blessed. I wish I could say “Hey slam let’s go out to the French open and play a few matches and collect a multi million dollar check.”

Marshwan is not white. Did you notice that?

The reason they have to answer questions is because those reporters have to write articles. That's how they get paid. That's also how the athletes get publicity. Which in turns gets them endorsements.

The shit is not going away. She's fragile. I bet if you asked other female athletes, they would say the same.

She worked her entire life to be where she is. As many hours as she put in when her friends were fucking off and having fun. This "They're lucky to be where they are" shit that people on the sidelines say needs to fuckin stop. As much money as she makes, you think they hold these tourneys just because they wanna entertain the masses??? Naaa, they making money also and using her talent to do it. She is a person first and foremost and that shouldn't be diminished because she makes more money that the avg person thinks they ought to. First, you’re on the big stage, so aside from something truly traumatic, you GO. You have sponsors who want you, their sneakers, skirt, headbands, racket, on the goddamn court. There are commercials to be aired, butts to be in seats. If this were normal times and someone had traveled around the world or cross the country to see you, you fucked them as well. So it all the sponsors sue, she gets stripped or fans turn on her, without a damn good reason, she asked for it. You worked since you were an infant at this, but can’t take questions. Have a good reason.
