The foul was called on CP So the play was dead. Payne threw an unnecessary shoulder knocking Caruso to the ground. Did he flop? Maybe a little, but it was unnecessary contact and Caruso slapped the ball letting him know it.
Then Caruso gets the ball thrown at him. All of that bs was caused by Payne.

He ran up on Payne, made contact physically and cased him to fall over. He caught him so he obviously wasn’t trying to knock him over and the refs noticed that.
Again, if he was ejected I would’ve understood why.
