My wife talks about this all the time. This is what happens when you let white people do your makeup. White women makeup artists are all about lightening your skin to even everything out. When you do that with Black women you get this crazy looking bullshit.
If you're Black and you're doing something visual like portraits or head shots ALWAYS use a Black photographer or makeup person so you don't get this bullshit.
