These guys (minus Ewing obviously) were all stars in the MJ era, FYI.

You can't call it the MJ era when Oakley and Starks only appeared in one all-star game when MJ was out of the league.

All those years Ewing played against Jordan, not once did he have an all-star teammate with him. Nobody accomplished more with less than he did.

It was still his era. Steph Curry missed last season due to injury. This is still his era. Klay is out this season. This is still his era. KD missed a season.... Still his era tho.

Agreed. And i clearly excluded Pat from this discussion in the post you replied to. But you also make my point. Pat suffered from the weak 2 guard and wing player phenomenon of his era and thus, was unable to experience high level success during his era. Thanks.

I saw that you were not lumping Ewing in.

Really my only point was to underscore Ewing's lack of support. Oakley and Starks were only all-stars in 94 and that was only because of team success with MJ gone. So the two all-star appearances he got alongside him in NY, in a single year, even that comes with an asterisk.

And then the big knock on him is that he couldn't win. Incredibly unfair.

Im a big Ewing critic.. But he had an awful supporting cast his entire career with the Knicks.

Some people have Tim Duncan top ten. I think that's crazy but top 20 is reasonable. Nobody has Ewing top 20.

But Ewing > Duncan.

Patrick Ewing
21.0 ppg
16.3 fga per game
34.3 minutes per game
9.8 rbg
1.9 apg
1.0 spg
2.4 blks

Tim Duncan
19.0 ppg
14.6 fga per game
34.0 minutes per game
10.8 rbg
3.0 apg
0.7 spg
2.2 blks

Very similar numbers... But one guy played for a franchise where his best teammates were a pair of guys who made one all-star game apiece. And is judged against Hakeem and Shaq while the other guy's Mount Rushmore competition inclues Dennis Rodman.

98 to 2000

We ummm excuse me

THE KNICKS beat the Miami heat in the playoffs

Beat them literally and figuratively

Wtf you talking about?

You need to lower your screen brightness when gazing upon legends like that.

They stay shining.

RIP Anthony Mason
