Presidential race 2024 - Kamala Harris vs Nikki Haley...how it goes down

As we all know Biden has said if he won he would do just one term since by 2024 he'll be in his 80s. But we all know if Biden wins chances are he'll step down by 2022...making Kamala Harris the first female president. It makes sense to do it that way because the only VP to go be elected POTUS was HW Bush riding off of Reagan's coat tales. Harris isn't going to enjoy a wave like that if Biden does a full term then elects not to run again. Plus Joe stepping down gives Harris 2 full years of actual POTUS experience she can play off of. So if it's going to happen it will most likely happen that way. While she'll be the first female POTUS it will be with an asterisk since she wasn't elected.

So the right, not to be outdone, will go hard on pushing female candidates in 2024. And the only viable name in that ring would be Nikki Haley. She was a governor and ambassador to the UN and most important she's a TWOFER. So 2024 will be two women of Indian descent in both parties running for president.

So many possibilities can happen between now and then... what level of popularity will the democrats have in a few years? How will Harris be seen and judged in high political office after the November elections? Once Biden gets a taste of absolute power will he change his mind and push on for another term..... so many possibilities......

true but the feeling I get is that biden had the number 2 seat for 8 years and once he gets the 1st seat he'll be done..the GOP will only be as bad on him as they were Obama and what person pushing 80 wants to put up with that shit for 2 terms. This is his 3rd time running for POTUS and if he gets in that will be good enough...he did it...then he can leave on his own terms. Whatever happens after that is Harris's problem.
 
I am more focus on getting Trump out of the White House this year but if Biden gets in to the White House and has a good four years Kamala Harris has a very good shot on becoming the first female president Nikki Haley shot herself in the foot too many times by defending Trump but let’s see what happens down the line

I could see it being Harris/Booker vs Haley/Rubio or Rick Scott.
 
Speaking during a virtual roundtable with small business owners in Arizona, Harris vowed that they will have an ally in the White House with the campaign's "Build Back Better" initiative.

However, the California senator appeared to briefly suggest that she was at the top of the Democratic ticket.

"A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States," she said. She quickly clarified, "The Biden-Harris administration will provide access to $100 billion in low-interest loans and investments from minority business owners."

Many on social media questioned whether Harris' misstatement was a "Freudian slip" as critics of the Biden candidacy insist that former VP is a placeholder for the liberal senator.

Kamala will cost Biden the election if her single election slogan is minorities. Minorities
are minorities for a reason; they cannot win elections by themselves. She is the woman;
she needs to give white suburban women their red meat. She should not be talking
about $100 billion for minorities right now. She should have it done after they win...

Obama won with his "there are no red states- blue states" bullshit. That statement
indirectly suggested that he was not going to hold their racism against cacs, since
the red/blue divide is really demarcated by race....

Someone needs to sit Kamala down, and make her do her job: She needs to go after
Trump instead of burnishing her credentials for future presidential runs.

I somewhat agree with you...but part of the red meat for white suburban women is bashing minorities particularly black and brown. Theres a big conflict there for her...also Obama caught a lot of shit for not forcefully speaking up for minorities considering he is one.

She definitely walks a tight rope tho.

Nikki Haley would get her ass dominated in a race against Harris. The GOP would never put a dot head woman who changed her name to sound and be more white in a national race. She would catch hell from all sides and the racism from her own side would overwhelm her. The 2024 race will be Biden vs a white man if Biden is still in good health,if not Harris will have to beat out some big name to get the nomination like Abrams,AOC,Booker,Beto and God only knows who else hell Cuomo might run.

If Biden wins and does a full term but decides not to run for another I think for Party unity the dems will form up behind harris fairly quickly. As far as the GOP is concerned they've been trying to find ways to expand the tent and haley is their best bet in that regard.
