I called damn near every hotel in the city trying to find another room.
I called as far south as union city and as far north as powder springs/dallas.
There was nothing available for any price.

Exactly!!! A few months ago was the perfect time to buy a house. Interest rates were at record lows. Now?? They are creeping back up and will hit 5% soon. To get a mortgage today you have to be 700+ and have all of the other boxes checked.
Remember, people can't be evicted and many of them are staying rent-free in these places that would normally be on the market. It is a f'd up time to have rental property. People with rental property and tenants who are behind on rent might as well chalk it up as a loss and figure out creative ways to write it off on their taxes.
CP3 was playing at Wake the same year I was playing at WSSU. We had a joint basketball camp together in the summer of 2003.
It was pretty cool to collab with them at the time. Plus, Justin Gray was also there. He was the cousin of one of my teammates. Them kat definitely partied differently than us. And I tell you what. The only kat that stepped on our campus was Josh Howard, but that's because East Winston was his stomping grounds. He donated a dope ass basketball court at Reynolds Park Rec center when he was playing for the Mavs. CP3 didn't grow up in East Winston. That kat when to West Forsyth, which is far removed from the ghettos of Winston. Kats from Winston knows that west of highway 52 is uppity as fuck. The city didn't and still doesn't give a fuck about East Winston.
