Presidents’ Day: Historically Bearish Day Before & After

^^^This is the type of content that should have been drop last week friday and this week monday at the latest. I had no idea and i suspect most in this thread didn't either. Red all over the place! Certainly opportunities for buying on sale dips. But for some of us(like me) that have options calls that are expiring soon...this is s fucking nightmare!

The current market doesn't seem typical. It's best to watch and see.

I’m stuck and @havelcok taught me not to sell at a loss and wait. I bought additional shares at its lowest to average down my cost. In this one for the long haul.

I don't know what you avg cost is, but look at the last few days of trading. It seems to have a early AM (4AM to 7AM) spike before the market opens. Remember reddit pumped this stock up, and ever since Gamestop, wall street has their crosshairs on anything they try to move now.

Right now ALL the weed stocks are getting hit. It’s not only $SNDL...the majority of the market is down.

Today, got a lesson in option scalping from my brother. Its a nice way to make money if done correctly.

1. High Volume
2. Buy low on the RSI
2a. Watch for bounces on VWAP (signals strength)
3. Sell high on RSI
4. Rinse / Repeat

He was in RIOT all day yesterday and today.

Does that go against your 3 day PTD rule?

Options scalping is how i've gotten burned more times than not...lol! But i'm always willing to try something out.

Unforuntately today is a TERRIBLE for "normal" trading! Even $TSLA took one in the mouth!

Yes! There's a lot of trading that folks post on here that a good majority, i'd suspect, can't replicate. Mainly due to not having accounts over 21k(which by the way you have to maintain. If it dips below 21k you're subject PDT rules) and/or don't have large enough cash accounts. Funny thing with cash account and using Webull as an example they require a 2 day settlement requirement. You can purchase again but you can't sell again within 2 days or you get hit with a Good Faith Violation.

The other thing about the PDT is the 3 trades max within 5 business trading days. Which means if you make a round trip(buy/sell same stock the same day that counts as 1 round) on Monday. It doesn't reset that round until the following MONDAY!

Bottomline the rules are defintely setup to make it easier to trade and "win" with larger accounts!

Yeah, that's what I was think. Stocks and options count against your PTD for the week. Good info too!!!

remember profit taking doesn't count against your PDT count.... it only counts if you sell All the stock

Looks like $SNDL if forming Doji Star pattern.

Morning Doji Star
A three-day bullish reversal pattern that is very similar to the Morning Star. The first day is in a downtrend with a long black body. The next day opens lower with a Doji that has a small trading range. The last day closes above the midpoint of the first day.

Switch your time frame to 1 month, 1 day.

Oh YES it does! Whenever you sell..100% or 1% of that position it counts as a round trip. Assuming you opened that position the same day.
