JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Two people are now dead after a shooting at a Jackson gas station that happened Sunday afternoon.
JPD spokesman Sam Brown said that a person was shot at Jasco at the corner of Woodrow Wilson Avenue and MLK Drive.
Brown said a 28-year-old man was shot multiple times inside the business and died at the scene.
The victim of this shooting has been identified as Christopher Lee.
Investigators believe the man was ambushed by three suspects, two of them are in custody.
The third suspect was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Justin Partee, 33, was shot multiple times by Lee at the gas station, according to police. He was dropped off at University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Partee was dropped off by the suspects that are in now custody.
Police recovered two firearms and drugs from outside the business.
