You are saying the exact opposite of Mark Monroe; he say the shortest option play should be 1yr with 2yr options as the preferred and definitely OTM. I always find it interesting to hear different POV's... its all about perspective.
Yep all mine OTM. I have NIO leaps now for 2022 and they are OTM because I know NIO will be at my price or over by next January

Word?
I may have missed it then.

I give most members the benefit of the doubt unless I see some blatantly foul shit come out there mouth.
Bruh, you should block 'em so they can't see any of the gems your sharing.

Yo man, don't ever feel bad for sharing info. Every little bit helps. Especially with how hectic this thread can get.

That's the challenge with options! It's a decaying asset and you need to hit it just right. BTW, Forget about OTM plays that are too far out. The hoping and wishing will kill you.
We bought ITM calls for a quick flip. He bought 100 contracts, sold 3 at close Thursday and 97 at open Friday for total of 4.4k. If it had moved from 24 to 500 or 1000 like they were saying... :money:.

I only made $790. :dunno:

But when they hit u up up. OTM actually brings you the most money % wise. One or two slots OTM is a great play as long as you have time on ya options. I don't play ITM because the profit isn't as good

Well if you're doing OTM plays then you should be buying alot of contracts. It can pay on highly volatile stocks like Tesla even when they move a little. But for those stocks that barely move then you better know something is going to happen to make that OTM worth it.

I typically buy at strike prices just above ATM and try to buy no sooner than 2 weeks out expiring contract.

Still messing with the different combination including debt spreads.

Do you know how expensive 1-2 year options plays are? I don't got that kind bread! Maybe you do!

For example approx 1 year option play for:

Apple ~ $2,040
Nio ~ $1,935
Tesla ~ $23,000

Mind you those options aren't moving that much at the moment. They are just sitting there. So if you don't midn tying your money up for 1 - 2 years plus then the return could certainly be worth it.

MAD I SOLD MY NOVAVAX !!, all my vaccine joints were stagnant for the longest and started jumping 2 days ago, waited so long that once it hit my mark i started pulling a large chunk , its 60% more now ! in the end ,they didnt lose none , sure won some on that! and sometimes thats good enuff! live 2 win another day! cos emotion & greed are the 2 worst things an investor should posses, PATIENCE is ultimate tho!

Yeah I have some AMD 1/20/23 and some X 1/20/22 XLY 1/21/22. I have some shorter ones as well ARKK 3/19/21 cause I couldn't afford the longer term. It's all perspective. Mark says that by doing leaps you should expect 3-5x return on avg. When I do the price history on barchart, I see that he is not wrong at all. It's all perspective.

Why do you keep saying tying up your money? The reason why you pay more is for safety. You can buy a weekly contract that's cheap and you only have 5 days. If you buy the yearly and you get a big jump in that same week you can sell that week. You don't have to hold for a year or two. And I know u gonna tell me you know but I don't want other people thinking the wrong thing

Them lawsuits are coming. They shit they pulled was some gangster shit.
yeah they shouldnt have restricted trading on those stocks..........and even now with this limited stock purchase bullshit.
and Thursday night, i couldnt even make any more purchases of Doge at all.....they put restrictions on crypto currency.
regardless......im gonna continue to make my money daily. they can't restrict all the tickers.......i always find ones that pop.....

Did you just come at me with “safety” and the market? Also, Yes! You can close your position at anytime. But clearly you’re tying up your money while you have an open position. I’m not sure what the disconnect is here.

Technically you're tying up your money in ANY position until you sell. The goal is profit.

Yes! But the shorter expiration dates have more implied volitilty than the much longer contacts. A 10 point move in the stock price is going to affect that 1 month contract alot more than the one that expires in 2 years. Obviously the time factor is the strength of the longer contracts.

Anyway, it’s one option if you have the funds available.

Yea it works out the same because you obviously have to pay more upfront for the longer dated options

The first two are affordable and the lastpossible on margin. If you have a year to pay it down. If you're ITM at any time you can close and take profit.

Heh. The I. V. crush can still ruin your gains. Allowing a week to pass with a weekly option is near pointless.

Never ever buy weekly contracts. It’s the biggest rookie mistake a person can make and I’ve made and I’m sure others. They’re attractive because they’re cheap. The only exception is your buying them the Friday before and you know the price action is going to move immediately(24-48 hours Max).

And add on dips under ya average. Let's look at sq. It was trading at like 67 dollars last January. Ended the year at 160

FOMO has $NNDM up BIG.

3-D printing breakthrough.

Closed at $3.37, dropped to $3.10 in AH and is now over $4.10. Went up $1.00 PPS in about 90 seconds. Company is from Israel so if there is an offering it will come in pre-market or right at open tomorrow.

And this shit was under $1.00 in pre-market trading this morning
Dropped BIG time in pre-market due to the offering. Glad I got out last night.

$NNDM - :smh: can’t trust a Khazar.

I’ll see what else is out there for today, however I would keep an eye on this because if they can do what they say, it will be a 10 bagger.
 posted this 9 months ago -
@geechiedan another one for you, kid. I look for value weeks - months - years in advance. The only value you bring to BGOL is shit threads.
