:smh: One of my good friends lost his father to Covid-19 earlier this year along with a kat that works in my unit. Had to sit back and watch over 150 co-workers throughout the company get sick and die before the job started to implement their own pandemic protocol they've had since 2012. Lost a cousin a few years younger than me two days after he got married out of the country in October and we just buried him two weeks ago. Fuck 2020... this shit can't end fast enough but from what I'm hearing 2021 is only going to be 2020 Part 2. :smh:

It's amazing that half the country thinks Covid is bullshit. They're bullshit. Real people are really dying.

Lost a few relatives this year we weren't that close but bless them anyway and RIP to those who transitioned this year.

I stop counting at 10 at first all Elders were dropping like flies early in the year.. then I Lost 4 homies all under 45.due to Heart failure. Don't fuck around take care of your health, listen to your body and take your ass to a Doctor. Don't be afraid of what you may find out, come up with a game plan to address and reverse the issues.

Also a favorite comics/graphic novel artist of mine died from Covid19 in April..

Childhood best friend passed away several months ago but not from covid. My other best friend who has ALS almost died, he's bed ridden now. He got double pneumonia right around when COVID-19 started, he was on his death bed. He said he wasn't ready to go, he's on a breathing machine now. ALS ain't no joke, it took his brother and his moms already. Smh! Several coworkers have passed this year as well. It's been a fucked up year. I turned 50 this year, it's made me appreciate life so much more. Time goes by so fast, enjoy it while you can fellas.

The young think they'll just keep going on. They just don't know. It may be cliché but life is short. Live ot to the fullest. My high school classmates have come up with the number of around 30 of us that have passed.

As far as celebrities, not to diminish others, but Chadwick, John Thompson and Bill Withers hurt most.

Damn bruh! 30 is a lot, I don't know the count but the older I get the more I here about someone passing. Like you said life is too short.

This year has a lot of us feeling our mortality. It even has an atheist like me looking for other answers.

A family friend just past Sunday morning. She was just diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago. And now she's gone. I known her off and on. But it still felt sad as fuck.

Condolences, DL and Unseen.

Yes - it's definitely been a trying year.

So much unknown and uncertainty on a global scale.

All the best to all BGOL fam' & their loved ones heading into 2021.

One of my brothers lost his father in law, who I was also very cool with. Another of my brothers lost two close friends days apart, but only one from covid. Actually, I knew about a dozen people that were taken by covid, but I wasn't super close to any of them.

On August 21st I lost my neighbor that I called my brother because I've known him since I was a very little kid. That hurt because it was a month before his 45th birthday. I'm 43. We're not even old yo.

It fucks me up because I didn't stay in contact like I could have. Since he's been gone I've tried to look in on his wife. I took her a box of wine and offered to hang out with her on New Year's Eve, but she hung out with her sister instead.

He was her entire world. When we talk a few weeks ago she said exactly that. Everybody else goes back to their lives, but I'm missing someone that my world revolved around. Everyone else saw him sometimes, but I was the only one to see him every single day

He was a strong dude. I never would have thought...
****

I lost my first cousin in September from a fentanyl overdose. She was 4 months younger than me. She had struggled with drugs for a long time but we all thought that she was clean. That one didn't hit me as bad because of the drugs and she was one of those relatives that was always calling asking for money
