Andrew Yang for New York City Mayor

I thought it was a good move for AOC to stay out of this race and I am surprised Yang would want this job. He's ambitious and it seems more like an endpoint than a launching pad.

Hell no. No to nizzo! FOH!

Here’s an article about his debate performance where he argued against passing new civil rights laws.

He’s like Bernie Sanders, if you fix the broken system it will end racism. He talks a good game, but whenever you ask him about helping Blacks, he says - give everyone $1000 it will solve everything.

in critiquing former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s response to a question about his controversial handling of racial disparities in his city’s criminal justice system, Elizabeth Warren started a deeper discussion about systemic racism. The senator from Massachusetts called out the fact that race is often mentioned only within the context of criminal justice when, in fact, it affects everything.

“We cannot just say that criminal justice is the only time that we want to talk about race specifically,” Warren said, calling for “race-conscious laws” on issues like housing, education and employment, in order “to make this country a country of opportunity for everyone, no matter the color of their skin.”

But entrepreneur Andrew Yang disagreed, telling Warren: “We can’t regulate away racism with a patchwork of laws that are race-specific.”

Andrew Yang has made some borderline racist comments.
elaborate?

Looks like the dems are trying to teach Andrew the proper way of rising in the ranks. Mofo thought he was trump and could take the white house by storm.

Bruh. The OP's only concern is Yangs supports for faggots.

I don't know that he can. If there is some racist shit on Yang, I'll admit I was wrong. But I just haven't seen it.

I seen what he said about pigs. Whether or not he would implement that is another story. He basically said cops have a problem that needs to be addressed directly at the source. He's talked about getting the unions under control. New York would prove the ultimate test for Yang. Because that's the union of unions up there.

But like all these other politicians, it's important to hold him accountable and never to be satisfied with Yang if he gets into office. Don't allow him to change from the guy he is now to the typical do-nothing politician. Because it's my opinion that Yang is light years ahead of other politicians.

We are now in the age of twitter politicians. Politicians who know how to work social media to piss off the opposite side to get press and make it seem like they doing shit. Hope Yang isn't another twitter politician.

See above. Yang doesn’t believe in “special laws” to protect Black people.

Like I said in my post, he never said anything outright racist. But if you read between the lines, he makes sure to never say anything specific about helping Black people

He was speaking in regard to pigs. With pigs, we don't need special laws targeted at race. We needs broad laws reducing the powers of pigs and the pig union. In regards to other aspects of the prison industrial complex, broad reform would automatically help us.

Examples of broad reform that would help us when it comes to the pigs and the injustice system are severe and SWIFT penalties for violating people, significantly reducing the power of police unions, eliminating civil protections for officers, and significantly reducing reliance on traffic stop revenue which would reduce interaction with pigs.

The pigs and injustice system don't have laws specifically targeted at race(well the crack/powder shit is coded race law). They just specifically apply it to us from their broad protections(drug laws, right to pull people over, etc). We must eliminate their broad bullshit in order to protect ourselves from how they apply it.

I'd give Yang a try and then throw him out if he don't deliver. If he gets to be mayor and doesn't check that pig union and pigs, I'll be the first to say fuck him. I don't protect do-nothing politicians like most these cats.

I do see how you can feel how you feel though. We deserve more and no one is delivering. Shit is frustrating as fuck.

wait what the hell is all this we don't need special laws targeted at race. We needs broad laws reducing the powers of pigs and the pig union. In regards to other aspects of the prison industrial complex, broad reform would automatically help us.

black politicians don't get this much leeway at all. Black politicians get WE NEED YOU TO TELL THESE CACS TO FUCK OFF AND WHERE'S THE LAWS FOR US?? Where are the programs JUST for US. Fuck that broad based bullshit we need shit for US and US ALONE!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

You know what the hell I mean. Black politicians have spent decades bowing to police unions and falling for the war on drugs. Spent years allowing cities they run to be used to pimp the traffic court. That increases interaction with police when it shouldn't even fucking happen. We all know the war on drugs is used to target us, a black politician who wants to decriminalize drugs is engaging in BROAD reform we know would specifically help us more than it would whites. It doesn't have to be specifically marked as a 'black law' for us to know it helps us.

If any BLACK politician practiced SERIOUS police reform, it would BENEFIT us. It wouldn't be called the 'black police act right act', it would be broad reform limiting police in general.

Again, I am not talking reparations. We are talking specifically pigs and the prison system. Show me a law where it says 'black or african American.' I'll wait.

You just so eager to cop pleas for the do-nothing black politicians who have failed us time and time again for the last 5 decades.

sooo why doesn't Obama get credit for any broad-based reforms or programs under his administration?? Obamacare helps african americans..reducing crack laws helps blacks yet the refrain is that he did NOTHING for blacks.

I'm just trying to get a handle on how non black politicians get broad-based leeway when black politicians get FUBU demands....:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Crack laws weren't put to 1:1 and he had power to do that. Shit is about 18:1 now. Still fucking ridiculous. Do you want to go down the Obama receipts? I've posted them and shut down every one of his fucking fans up on this board. And guess what? I can use liberal sources to shut down any arguments Obama did big things in terms of pigs and injustice system.

Obama had baby steps within broad reform in 8 fucking years. I can list numbers black mayors who been in bed with police unions and ran bad places.

Yang has yet to hold a position of power. If he came in and did Obama-type shit in regard to pigs and injustice system, like I said in my post earlier I'd want Yang out. Fuck him then.

I spent damn near a fucking year on this board bumping updated a post about a black man who was killed while Obama's justice department just spun its wheels. Miss me with what Obama did. A white house that as recently as 2013 called Marijuana a gateway drug is doing jack shit to help folks deal with abuses of the war on drugs. FOH.

reducing from 100 to 1 to 18 to 1 is still a significant reduction and we're talking broad based....your words. If a white politician got it dropped from 100 to 18 youd say that was something but a black politician did it and it's weak shit. There's differing criteria just admit that much:rolleyes2::rolleyes2:
