NBA Season is Returning This Year!!!!!!!

Just because he hadn't come out and said it doesn't mean it hasn't been said... his mom opening her mouth was probably the biggest indication that this rumor has some legs to it.

Yo see the league about to go after Kawha cause of Uncle Dennis right?

That's,how I feel about Drummond....

:fuckyousay: :fuckyousay: :fuckyousay: :fuckyousay:
I feel ya. And because a bigger longer defender is usually on Simmons it makes it more difficult to Slash to the basket with Embiid with the ball in the post. They did the shit 3 times and all three times it was stagnant. Lead to a damn near 7 minute scoring drought in the 3rd. Now if I'm home seeing this you know opponents can see it looking at film. Fix it Doc!!!

Brick by brick

Man I know cats are high on Simmons but I don’t think dude will truly turn into a future top 5 player like some think he will. The shooting is one thing but I just think he should have taken the next step in his game by now.. If I'm the Rockets I'll take Embiid for Harden instead. With the right training staff & coach, Embiid will be in tip top shape. He already has the passion & don’t forget about Olajuwon here to help dude reach his full potential.

If I'm Morey, hell yeah I'd swap Simmons for Harden to pair with Embiid..

What is the next step?

He's one of the best defensive players in the league.

The next step is his outside shot. He's already a top 20 player.

Problem is Embiid needs his touches in the paint. You really think Harden gonna give him the ball as much as he needs it to create double teams? I don't think so. That's gonna be a problem.

The next step is to be a to be a top 10 or top 5 player. People keep saying that he can be the next Lebron but I need to see dude start taking over games like Lebron, KD or Kawai.. Shit look at Tatum, dude has taken the next step as a younger star the past few years and is probably in the top 10 now moving upwards..

His shot is a big issue and its too much of a question mark for me.

Man listen, Kobe & Shaq worked. If you have arguably the best guard & center at their positions in the whole league, as a coach/gm you better find a way for them cats to coexist.

My thing is, if it's just Simmons for Harden then yes, I'd do it. I'm not giving up Maxey and Milton. Those two young guys can flat out ball. You need depth and the Sixers have that with these two.

Yeah I saw the game last night & I'd be hesitant to let go of Milton, he's got a nice game. I like the bench and the players they've added around Embiid. One thing Morey will do is make sure yall have have the right supporting casts around your stars.

Yeah. I can't remember a Sixers team with this much overall depth. Morey did a phenomenal job putting things together that quickly

The problem is the shit show that Harden is creating in Houston. Philly looked really good last night. A little rough around the edges but they look like they've taken a step in the right direction. Why fuck that up by bringing in the Harden circus while simultaneously giving up two bright pieces of our future.

That trade just seems like more trouble than it's worth now.

Yeah that's gonna cost him dearly in that settlement. He got baited and lost. WTF was he thinking :smh:. Bruh, buy another damn car, you make 8million per year.

She stepped forward as the instigator, but once he pushed her, its a wrap. His girl will catch a case, and get community service. Bitch paid her bills for a few years.

Fuck all that a man can't put his hands on a woman bullshit though. That bitch stepped up, and got dumped on. Rondo should of just let the women handle it, would have saved him some cash.

NBA memo warns teams about obtaining, administering COVID-19 vaccine early

The NBA delivered a warning to teams on Thursday that franchises are forbidden from pursuing and administering newly released coronavirus vaccines on a teamwide basis ahead of public health guidelines for prioritization, according to a memo obtained by ESPN.

In informing teams that medical experts advising the NBA are in agreement with the FDA that the new Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for the coronavirus are "safe and effective," the NBA told teams the league will work to vaccinate its players and staffs "consistent with the timing and prioritization set by applicable public health guidelines," the memo said.

The NBA is allowing exceptions for team physicians and health-related personnel and older staff members or those with conditions that deliver a higher risk for complications upon contracting the coronavirus, the memo said.

The memo comes in the wake of NBA commissioner Adam Silver recently telling reporters on a conference call the NBA would not "jump the line" when it came to the vaccine.

"It goes without saying that in no form or way will we jump the line," Silver said on a conference call with reporters on Monday. "We will wait our turn to get the vaccine. When you think about the logistical feat that now the federal and state governments are undertaking, where if every citizen ultimately requires two doses and with a population of over 300 million, it's beyond comprehension when you start to begin to think about the logistical challenges of transporting and distributing this vaccine."

The NBA plans to work with the National Basketball Players Association in the coming weeks and months on campaigns to educate the public on the safety of vaccines, the memo said.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden should be available Saturday with negative COVID-19 tests, sources say

Kendrick Perkins laments what he sees as a lack of professionalism from James Harden right now and says GMs are afraid to trade for Harden because of his off-court activities. (2:04)

In the aftermath of his violating coronavirus protocols and absorbing a $50,000 fine, the NBA is mandating that Houston Rockets All-Star James Harden quarantine and test negative for four days, which should clear the way for his return Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers, sources told ESPN.

The league's medical staff started the clock on a Harden quarantine with Tuesday's negative test and he should receive clearance on Friday, sources said.

"The precedent is that discipline gets ratcheted up," NBA commissioner Adam Silver told ESPN's Rachel Nichols on The Jump on Thursday. "It's Christmas. It was a first offense. ... In a way, he got lucky. If the game had been played, Harden would have been docked one game's pay."
For a game missed due a COVID-19 violation, players will lose 1/72nd of their salary, according to league rules. If the game had been played, Harden would have lost $572,985.

Harden was disciplined after video surfaced of him at an indoor gathering in Houston without a mask. He wouldn't have been allowed to play in the Rockets' scheduled game against Oklahoma City on Wednesday, which was eventually postponed because Houston couldn't meet league guidelines with eight eligible players.\

The video of Harden partying maskless, which was published by Black Sports Online and has been circulating on social media, is purportedly from a Houston club's Christmas party held this week.

The NBA's COVID-19 protocols prohibit players from going to bars, lounges or clubs and from participating in social gatherings of more than 15 people.

The league said Harden violated those rules when he attended a "private indoor party" on Monday.

Harden has told NBA investigators he believed he was in compliance with health and safety protocols, a source close to the situation told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. Harden and multiple witnesses at the event have told the league that he attended a seated dinner for a friend who had recently been promoted at work, the source said.

According to the source, Harden said he entered through a separate entrance, sat in a separate area of the venue with his security detail and was wearing a mask. He took a photo with his friend and gave her a gift. Harden, according to the source, said he left after approximately 30 minutes and did not continue on with the group, which went to other locations later in the night.

Harden, who has requested to be traded, violated the NBA's COVID-19 protocols during his brief holdout at the beginning of training camp when he attended rapper Lil Baby's birthday party in Atlanta and frequented Las Vegas clubs. The league required Harden to have six consecutive days of negative coronavirus tests before clearing him to practice with the Rockets.

Sources told ESPN that Harden had COVID-19 during the summer before the NBA season restart, which is why he was late reporting to the league's Walt Disney World bubble. Players who have recovered from the coronavirus are still required to follow the league's health and safety protocols.
ESPN's Tim MacMahon contributed to this report.

James Harden was late to Disney bubble due to positive COVID-19 test

After Houston Rockets star James Harden was recently seen partying without a face mask prior to the 2020-2021 NBA season, other reports have emerged that he previously contracted a positive COVID-19 case prior to the seeding games and the playoff proceedings in the Orlando Bubble last summer.

“Sources told ESPN that Harden had COVID-19 during the summer before the NBA season restart, which is why he was late reporting to the league’s Walt Disney World bubble. Players who have recovered from the coronavirus are still required to follow the league’s health and safety protocols.”

Despite his late arrival on the campus, James Harden along with Russell Westbrook and the rest of the Rockets still managed to recuperate and patch their team chemistry on the floor after a long lay-off. The Houston-based squad was able to withstand a dynamic Oklahoma City Thunder team which stretched the opening round proceedings to seven games.

After a back-and-forth encounter in the series, the Rockets finally dispatched the Thunder and moved on to face the dominant Los Angeles Lakers. The Rockets were eventually exposed by LeBron James and Anthony Davis as they both tore their small-ball schemes. Harden and the Rockets didn’t stand a chance against the eventual champions and were bounced out of the playoffs with a 4-1 series loss in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

Apparently, it also became the swan song of the James Harden era as turmoil eventually escalated within the team in the next couple of months. The franchise is also not getting any sort of commitment from the 2018 NBA MVP as he remains adamant on his desire to be traded to another team at some point in the future.

At this point, the Rockets are still aiming to pull through despite having a disgruntled star in James Harden at the helm amid all the uncertainties of the situation. Hopefully, both parties will still be able to find a solution to the growing disparity between them moving forward.

@playahaitian i kinda figured he had the shit early on... still the rules were in place and he's been breaking them every chance he gets.

Now he has apparently added Boston and Portland to his chosen landing spots. He's on some "anywhere but here" shit now and if that's the case then send his ass to whoever gives you the best deal in return.

Fuck this guy. This organization bent a knee to his every wish. The city accepted him with open arms. The fans defended him as he constantly played small in the team's biggest moments. And the Rockets still offered him an extension that would have made him the nba's first $50 million dollar man, go out and build what is probably the best team he's ever had around him, and bring in a coach whose offense is tailored to his style of play. But this clown ass nigga can't bother reporting to camp on time because he out here being a groupie to a rapper several years younger than him giving him purses and dollar store honey buns or stay in the fuckin house because hey my homegirl becoming a boss...
