Generally agree. But what’s the alternative? You have to have some microcosm of mutual ground to get anything done in this country. If both sides decide to go to their respective corners then that benefits nobody.
The general stance is you don’t have to “reasonating and reasoning” and get “100%” participation from them. You just need to get a small percentage (5,10,15%). Thats certainly within reason and all you may need to make good gains. Ask any investors if they’ll take those % annually?

I disagree with you on this, because If nothing gets done the status quo is maintained. That definitely benefits the GOP as that is their principle objective. Their obvious aim is conservation of the traditional racist norms and institutions that have governed this country since forever.
