ATLANTA — Atlanta Police have once again been called to one of Atlanta's busiest shopping malls to reports of gun violence.

A department spokesperson confirmed to 11Alive that officers were dispatched to 3393 Peachtree Road, Lenox Square Mall, around 6 p.m. to reports of shots fired.

Police arrived to discover the shots were heard inside the Neiman Marcus store. Police are now working to gather additional details regarding what happened.

At this point, they do not believe that anyone was struck. The gunfire is just the latest example of violence at the popular Buckhead mall. Police previously reported someone shot inside the mall in mid-November.

And the Neiman Marcus store itself has also been the scene of previous violence in mid-October. In this case, the shots were fired by a man who alleged he was being robbed by four other men.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as they become available.
 
This is the type of shit that gets malls shut down. Not by the police or city officials, but by people afraid to come to the malls to spend money.

There's a ridiculous police presence at Lenox already. All the blocks entering the mall, outside, and inside the mall got police. I was there last week asking myself was it worth it.

Yeah, here in Cleveland, One of the post offices in the hood. Was recently robbed.
 
Or maybe the weekend people dont have work or any responsiblities so they shop on the weekend?

Nike store told me they had some shoes...which they didnt. Otherwise I wouldn't have went.

That aint the only mall in city. Like i said, you can go hang out in Lenox if you want, but just know to expect alot of young kids and gay niggas

I cringe every time I see ppl in gun groups on Facebook post pics of themselves posing with their guns & their fingers are on the trigger. Even worse when you point out or to them, they try to rebuttal saying the gun was not loaded :smh:

Buckhead is a overprice douche bag area of Atlanta but that has been slowly changing. people know they play musical chairs with certain areas of Atlanta in some years and the chairs are beginning to move in Buckhead.
 
Bruh, I remember going to Lenox in the late 90's ...Big Boy (Outkast) was there, Jamal Anderson Mr Dirty Bird himself was there and some cats from the Hawks....the broads were out....this was like my first few times there with my uncle, being from Cleveland I never saw a "mall" like it....bougie on one side, go through the double doors and almost regular on the other.....but a center section made for stars.

Like Randall Park was but a higher profile.

And now.....this shit.......SMH
