So,many excuses from this team...

A lot can be said about his rationale but what stands out the most is his DISDAIN for the role he was asked to play. That season was LOST from the beginning. Maybe that's the reason why these toss them all in the pot teams struggle. Each player, especially great ones, is thinking as Paul George. Why am I being asked to do this when it doesn't benefit ME. The Big Three out of Boston had ONE goal and it wasn't play each individual's game. LeBron has a "system" like it or not. It yields more success than failure overall. It works because he carefully chooses the players he wants to play with based on the their ability to "fit" into the system and goal. Golden State is another example. They have a system and as great as KD as he had to fit into it if he wanted to achieve his goal. Paul George? We should be asking why he feels HE doesn't have to buy in to what's being done? What exactly has he accomplished being the "type" of player he happens to be? Gotta sacrifice something.......

While,Westbrook can't shoot to save his life. Are we going to ignore that Harden had All-Star players playing with him and he got rid of them after a year or two on the team...

Oh man there's a lot to unpack here...

I'll just say this:
Only one should have stayed and that was Chris Paul. They really played well together in my opinion.

Howard was good catching lobs and pick n roll that first year and he was an all star but then ego showed up and he decided he wanted the ball in the post more... Cappella was developing so he was expendable...

Westbrook style with Dantoni system was doomed from the beginning... but still they tried and went small to fully maximize Westbrook's style of play, opening up the lane, trading Cappella and he STILL didn't do what was best for his game which was attack the basket, drive and dish, use his mid range jumper....

This ain't on Harden...

I'm not even the biggest Russ fan but I hate how the media is trying so hard to throw all of Houston's problem on him. Like Houston hasn't been choking in the playoffs every year for like a decade. Or like it was Russ' idea to trade everyone over 6'10".

No one is mention D'Antoni or throwing him under the bus. He just up and ran to BLK and Harden and Russ are eating shit.

Westbrook married a Black American woman and still reps for his old hood. Light skin players like him and AI dont get to enjoy light skin privilege because of it and are often demonized by media types for their "athletic arrogance"

Danphoni is a high profile high paid coach that is White and from West Virginia. Cant expect the sports media to roast him. If they did, how is he gonna get a new job everytime he gets fired or quit? White sports media protects white coaches and white "authority" figures in sports.

Sad but true

Buying into a system and asking a player to play a style that does not fit their skill set in another story.
