Common sense politics. But, I guess that's an oxymoron.
We have to demand that both parties reach across the aisle and vote for policies not as a party, but both as a representative of his or her state/ region. This hard line stance is a new thing. It never used to be this way, but it is getting more and more polar. Black folk will never get any advancements like this.
I've said before, black folk would never say that every black person is a good person or every white person is bad. We say all the time, "all skin folk ain't kin folk." Yet, we will say f all Republicans, I'm only voting democrat. We do not see the hypocrisy and lunacy in that position. This goes for republicans as well. Any republican who votes for only republicans is an idiot.
Malcom X warned us about putting political parties over our people. And we are doing just that.
Black folk have proven that we can sway an election either way. We have to be more strategic with our vote and demand more from both sides.

I couldn't say. It could have been a gradual decline that I've only noticed because I would see his comments and sermons so infrequently. Sort of like illness. People who see them everyday and care for them don't see the decline as clearly or shockingly as people who go several months or years since the decline began.
Regardless, any pastor supporting Trump and his racism is a non starter for me.

The law firm representing President Donald Trump’s in Pennsylvania has withdrawn itself from an election lawsuit.
The New York Times reports that the law firm of Porter Wright Morris & Arthur said it was withdrawing from representing the Trump campaign in a lawsuit that it had filed mere days earlier.
“Plaintiffs and Porter Wright have reached a mutual agreement that plaintiffs will be best served if Porter Wright withdraws,” the firm state in a court filing.
As the Times notes, Porter Wright’s decision to withdraw came after attorneys at the firm began leaking word of their discomfort in representing the Trump campaign’s efforts to delegitimize the results of the 2020 presidential election.
“Some employees said they were concerned that the firm was being used to undercut the integrity of the electoral process,” according to the Times’ reporting. “One Porter Wright lawyer resigned in protest over the summer.”
It is unclear whether the law firm will continue to represent the Trump campaign.

They need to find a way to bill the candidate that request recounts. These states shouldn't have to come out of their pockets for that. Just like an exam you want regraded requires a fee this is the same. Candidates should be allowed to have free recounts.

I don't know about OTHER states, but WI charges the Candidate (campaign) for recounts. Jill Stein forked over 2mil for her recount in 2016.
Well usually it's the candidate that request the recount that suppose to pay for it.
