Like I said earlier, I think all of this conversation is touching on different points of the same thing. You're right, black people have a lot of conservative leanings, and at the same time, the party that calls itself conservative is something we can never rock with because of the overt racism. Democrats/liberals are our allies of last resort and I think most of us get that so maybe the part that goes without saying needs to be said out loud every now and then so we dont get it twisted. I'm personally of the mindset that there is no "better" for us here and we need to get out. But that's not feasible for most of us so we gotta do what we can with what we have to work with here. For now, the Democratic party is the best option. I also think this conversation about liberal/conservative black views is gonna shift a lot as more young black voters enter the conversation.

She's been quoted or those around her as saying that she's very interested or something that effect. And I'm not 100% sure if there's a workaround, but this is what i mean by going all in with revenge.

1) In 2004, after Sen. John Kerry became the party’s presidential nominee, state Democrats changed the law from allowing the governor to fill a Senate vacancy until the next state election to mandating a special election.

That change was designed to prevent then-Gov. Mitt Romney, a Republican, from picking a member of his own party to fill the seat (which never happened because Kerry lost the general election).

Then, in 2009, Democrats changed the law again, tweaking it to enable then-Gov. Deval Patrick, a Democrat, to temporarily appoint someone to the seat before the special election — to ensure the party didn’t lose a Senate vote after Kennedy died.

That’s the current law on the books if Warren’s seat becomes vacant.

Mass state legislature is controlled by Democrats. They can change it immediately to say that the governor must pick a Democrat as the successor. They have changed it before and this is a crucial time to do it. She has been overlooked and fucked by Republicans many times for positions. The state can then host their special elections in 2021.

Massachusetts I believe has changed the law on who decides the replacement multiple times. Mass has a republican govenor but I believe has a veto proof democratic legislature. So they could pass a law that says they decide the replacement and that would be that.
