Joe Biden is now POTUS

See that's the problem. You asking what do we get, instead saying this is what I want. You/we have to be specific about the things we want and staop worrying about what others may get or want.
Do be fair, Ice Cube presented a long list of items we want, (and still want) but was crucified for it.

Also, LGBTQ gets action on day one, why not us? We have shared what we want and need.

To continue to be fair, Biden has said he is going to "address systemic racism" in the first 100 days. I personally think this is an unrealistic goal and very vague. There is systemic racism in virtually every aspect of white existence. But, if he wants to be on the clock for such a heavy lift, go right ahead. The clock will start on day one.

No, Cube spoke for himself about what he think we may want or need. No one elected or approved Cube to speak for us. There was no coalition around what he put out.

The Power Struggle had to be graceful and hand over power though too. Next Generation is already there putting in work. Hakeem Jeffries could easily be Speaker. Nancy is 80 years old and she literally said when she ran again and won that she was going to set up a transfer of power. These old muthafuckas plan on dying in office. They need to let it go.

For sure. She needs to let Jeffries handle a lot of the messaging and press conference this term to start this handoff. She can’t be speaker again after this term.

I could tell you this right now From living in Florida that Puerto Ricans and Cubans are two different animals in some cases some Puerto Ricans remind me of my own people. Cubans well the young ones are OK but the older ones at like they are white.

Oh! You should know I know about Cubans and Ricans in S.Florida.

Like you said earlier, it’s mostly the older Cubans with their Fidel this and Fidel that. As of Castro was the worst dictator of all time. Please, miss me with all of that! The younger, newer generation Cubans are okay.

G Pap was the guy that went to jail as part of the Mueller investigation.

People aren't coming at Kayleigh simply because of what she said, it's because of her hypocrisy after all the maskless WH superspreader events that she defended, even after COVID was running buckwild though the WH staff, including Mark Meadows as of this week who attended yet another indoor maskless event face to face with a bunch of folks.

When all the BLM protests happened, it was found they didn't raise covid rates as expected because they were outside and masked, in fact it was said the tear gas might cause it to spread if anything, but I don't believe any outbreaks were linked to their protests. On the other hand, several outbreaks and deaths have been linked to Trump rallies and the WH events.

That said, I think they should be home instead of on the street during a pandemic, but I understand why they want to celebrate. This is about the only good news we've had in 2020.

Agree 100%

@BKF I honestly believe you are a sincere brother who is genuinely all about the upliftment of black people in America. So, I am asking in the spirit of genuine real dialog. Read the following without applying any preconceived notions.

First, the CWBA is not Ice Cube speaking for us. This is highly inaccurate and disingenuous. The CWBA is a collection actionable items that we as black people have been demanding for years.

As a group, we never elect or approve any black person to speak for us. We didn't approve of MLK, Malcom X, SNCC, the NAACP, Crump, Sharpton, Jesse, or any other person or group as a collective. They all just did their part and did what they felt was right, even when we as a black community dismissed every group and person previously mentioned.

Here is a miniscule excerpt of the CWBA:

• Military Grade Weapons will not be brandished in public unless gunfire or deadly force required.

• Eliminate Civil and Criminal Asset Forfeiture as it gives police departments economic incentive to charge crimes which conflicts with the goals of serving justice. Only exception is if the Assets are related to the crime.

• It will be illegal for a police officer to have Sex with A Detainee or Suspect under their charge. It will be considered statutory rape because it is unreasonable to assume consensual sex due to the power dynamic.

• Shoot to Wound policy in event of unarmed suspect, fleeing suspect (that poses an imminent danger only) or if deadly
force is unnecessary.

• End all Quota-based policing.

All of these are specific and actionable items that we as black people have been demanding for decades. This is not Ice Cube's personal agenda. These are things we want and have said that we wanted compiled into one document that can be done on day one as an executive order. How? Because none of these require the transfer of funds from any allotted department. No discussion is needed. We have already said we want this.

All of these can be inacted on day one if Biden and the democrats really wanted to. This is what Ice Cube and the writers of the CWBA were trying to get both the Democrats and Republicans to commit to.

There is nothing within the CWBA that is detrimental to black Americans. However, it is the only existing plan that is specifically for black people. Not people of color. Just black people.

I was one of those in the 90s that used to vote for a Republican once in a blue moon that was not too crazy but all of that stop in the 2000s. The 2000 presidential election cause me never to vote for a Republican again. And also as I got older I got more liberal.

I'm right with you Easy. Republicans used to be more right than wrong on economic issues, especially regarding scrapping this miserable tax code. So when a candidate would come along that seemed sane, I would occasionally vote that way, since I truly believe that we need a pro-black presence in both parties. Plus, there were some Republicans on the national stage back then who were admirable, and forward thinking, and genuinely interested in reaching out to everyone, people like General Powell and the late Jack Kemp, both of whom I could have supported for president with no hesitation. But, that sick, racist, white supremacist streak that runs through the heart and soul of that party just seemed to override any decency I could find. For every Jack Kemp, there was a Newt Gingrich and a Pat Buchanan. For every Colin Powell, there was a Mitch McConnell and a Dick Cheney. Not to mention the Limbaughs, the Hannitys, the Becks, the O'Reillys, and the rest of those shitheads. So, I eventually gave up on that idea.

Well Latinos in general are a little bit more conservatives than any other groups. If the GOP find the right message they'll cross the bridge for sure
The main thing stopping many Latinos from going towards the GOP is their racism and openness to the Far Right idealogy. Its damn near the same reason most Black folks haven't gone to the GOP.

I mentioned this earlier, but many Latinos, like Black people, actually lean conservative but are socially liberal when it comes to some causes.

The older I get, the more conservative on some things I lean on, even though I've always been a proud Liberal.

Had the GOP not leaned on their racism and the far right, I could have seen myself becoming a Republican as a young man. But they did which is why I can't ever do it.

My brother, I humbly ask that you stop repeating this false narrative. That stat you are quoting was put out one day after the election. There are no sources that cooborate that 20% of black men voted for Trump. Ask yourself, "where is the rest of the data?"

Furthermore, if you look at the stratified data provided by PA, which was only made available yesterday. You will see no where on there is race or sex mentioned. Why? Because they haven't released that data. This is why real news outlets have been hesitant to talk about this.

You got to be the dumbest mf on this board to believe what you wrote.

And this is fine. I haven't and I am still not defending her. But, her statement is still valid nonetheless, despite being hypocritical. Yet, people are upset because this fact gets acknowledged? If I said Jake Taffer said it, certain dumbasses would have been "yes, he has a point. We need to be careful."

That is also hypocritical.

I'm glad we agree. Agreeing with a point or position of an opponent does not constitute support for that opponent or his or her total position or ideals. It simply means out of the million things they get wrong, they have one thing you agree with. The problem is that people hate to admit when someone else is right, especially if it is someone they despise.

No because motives matter and what she said wasn't an expression of concern given in good faith, it was an attack. She, nor you, can gaslight folks into thinking anything she says should be considered. It's an extension of one rule for dems, no rules for the GOP. Trump can, and probably will next week, have 200+ maskless people holed up inside the WH and she will be at the podium defending it, even though attendees and staffers get sick within a few days of each event. Go kick rocks with this nonsense.

This also the same thing that prevents older black people from voting Republican. It’s a lot of older black people that are socially conservative but Republicans are so damn racist that they like fuck it I’m voting Democrat.

Latinos will take over the republican party
White people absolutely MUST have a white face as the image of power or they lose their shit in the grips of fear. That's how we got Trump to begin with. They ain't even likely to accept Rubio or Cruz without feeling vertigo on a constant basis.

I didn't know that Nikki Haley was of Bangladeshi stock until she took down the Confederate flag from the Capitol building and White women were leaving hate and threats. One of them reminded her that she hasn't forgotten that she's a Bangladeshi...not a White woman.

I wonder whatever happened to Bobby Jindal. He seems to have been put out to pasture. :dunno:

Give everything, demand nothing:angry: Mexican did nothing and day one, immigration is back online. Damn here we go with the bullshit from Southern Black folk. Damn GA gotta be on for MAJOR federal inputs. Mississippi with voting iut their jim crow constitution, should be A HUGE Democrat target foe developing Black house candidate's, they have a 30% Black population.
That's precisely why these old farts have to get the hell out of the way. These muhfuckas are nothing but roadblocks.

We unfortunately disagree with your main premise. Motives do not matter. A fact is still a fact even if my enemy is the one to reveal it to me. I may not like it, but it still remains a fact.

Trumo having his super spreader events are irresponsible as well. I have always said this. Faux News never said this nor has his surrogates.

However, gathering in the street to celebrate Bidens victory is just as wrong. Both VNN and Faux News acknowledges this.

Wrong is wrong and right is right no matter who tells it.
