I get it but Vince is going about this is n the wrong way. The problem, in Vince's eyes, is the wrestlers breaking character and fucking up storylines online. Take Miro and Lana for instance. TV storyline was her and Rusev beefing. They post online they got married. Shitted on the story. Braun, monster among men in storyline. Online dressing in an elf costume and showing his nip piercing. Fucks up his character. As much as I fucks with UUDD, they still break story character. This whole situation can turn into a storyline and get eyes on the product. The problem is that they don't have the creative to pull it off. If go the reality route on this, it could really be something. On another note, why are you having drafts, when you don't even stick to it. When you don't follow your own guidelines, you shit on the whole draft itself. Just do away with it altogether. Shits pointless. And you give contracts to the people who are "vandalizing" your show..... Vince and Bruce got to go!

Everyone knows these storylines aren't reality. If "you" aren't watching the product cause Big E is more unapologetically black in person than on the show and NOT cause the product has been TRASH for decades then "you're" the reason this country is in the shape it's in.
Next thing is that they have to stay in character 24/7 out of fear that a fan sees them and doesn't buy into the current program that they're apart of.
Vince's time has come and gone and he is hemorrhaging money, this is a way to squeeze more money out of his superstars. USA tolerates him cause let's be honest what other show do they have? But FOX, they are not having this shyt. He promised a bill of goods and he hasn't been delivering.
But Vince got a cut cause he owned the Hulk Hogan name at the time. Same with the Rock. Either you buy the name or you go by your governments.
You're right but doesn't that support Vince's issue in a way? I don't agree with the pettiness like putting her through a table because of his comments on AEW. Overall the majority of the cats on social media are there using their names and likeness owned by Vince. I think both sides can come to an agreement. The challenge is how? You could say that if you're using your character name, you stay in character. If you uses your real name, maybe have a morals clause in your contract. This wouldn't be an issue if these cats weren't contracted to the E. No one would know them if they weren't. If Vince wants to make this call, then he's gonna have to give up something. Maybe no longer classify them as independent contractors, offer insurance, have morals clause and stay in character. The alternative, fuckem, change your handle, cause I own that and it was a pleasure working with you. Then get cats who want to make wrestling great again. What I mean by great again is more believable, storyline driven, and episodic.
I agree with the majority of this. To add to this is that part of why most people checked out is because they lost their fundamentals. I been watching wrestling since I was 7. I have always been fans of the heels. My all time favorite is Piper. I loved the heels more than than faces. To me, it has always been good versus evil. They have gotten so far away from this fundamental core. Now no one wants to get boo'd. No one wants to be heel. So when you see someone like Jericho or MJF, they stand out. Factor in that Trips stated that they're not making any more stars. To me, that's a recipe for disaster. Factor that and there's no real character development.
Those fundamentals where flushed during the Attitude Era. Them trying to push the: "Say your prayers and eat you vitamins" is what killed them in Super Cena is what I feel started their downfall. The constant force feeding of Roman, the treatment of every wrestler that is not white and blonde finished the job. This is the era of the Smart Mark, pushing a rich white kid from Boston as the Master of Thuganomics is the wrong demographic for this time
Factor what you just said and the fact that they don't know who their audience is. What demo are they going for. It can't be kids when you're prime time 8-10p and 8-11p. If you're going for the 18-30, then you need to factor in what they actually watch and you need to hold their attention. I'm sure in the 45 and up range and don't watch real time. When I watch on dvr I go through that shit in about 45 minutes to an hour if that. I mainly listen to the Raw and Smackdown podcast with Vince Russo or Keepin it 100 with Konnan and Disco. Their reviews are better than the actual show. They don't cater to my age group and as a result, I don't watch real time. The crazy thing is I like more storyline than wrestling. The storyline makes me want to see the match. We all know it's phony but make it make sense. And the work is so exposed it's not even funny. And the crazy thing is that back in the day it looked more real/snug with minimal real injuries. Today it looks more fake with more real injuries.

My whole issue with this type of story telling is that you just further buried the group. You put a job guy as the head of this faction. I call him a job guy because what have you really done with him prior to make him at least a passable mid card guy? Stop and start pushes that went nowhere. They needed a bigger name to give this faction the rub. This shit is right up there with the NWO B team, Social Outcasts, Serotonin, and the Dungeon of Doom.

I see that point, but some of his pushes that ended where due to him getting hurt. You look at both of these factions, both teams are filled with job guys. Before this pandemic MVP was jobbing, Bobby Lashley was jobbing to every white person that wasn't Miro. And don't get me started on Shelton Benjamin!
