NBA Season is Returning This Year!!!!!!!

its OVERALL its the dismissiveness

it wasn't directed at anyone in particular and I do NOT want to feed any lebron stans

its a sense of entitlement from the average fan

i aint saying we gotta genuflect but

yeah you can CRITICIZE lebron you can CRITICIZE anyone

but their is RESPECTFUL legitimate criticism

its holding EVERYONE to the same standards pretty much

it just boggles my mind that since HIGH SCHOOL

Lebron had this pressure that has BROKEN grown ass men and people act like it NOTHING?

We at a pint where averaging a triple double is dismissed like its NOTHING

Steph Curry LITERALLY redefined a sport...a SPORT

We don;t PLAY IT THE SAME WAY BECAUSE OF THIS ONE MAN

I'm just saying the way folks just DISMISS sh*t and go off so much fake emotion to formulate they takes...

maybe I GOTTA stop listening to these nba podcasts with all these white middle men talking sh*t too.

rant over.
Thank you.
You couldve just typed stop listening to middle aged white men podcast hate on black athletes and you wouldn't feel any of this angst lol
When you see the ppl trying to divide are stans or white dudes and sometimes both
Then things will become clearer

And you’re right about Bron, we should all look at him with pride. From high school to now with no issues off the court. No bs issues on the court, we should all be proud of him.

Yes he has some bitchasssness every now and then but he’s a business and a company man, because he’s the cooperation.

But we haven’t seen anything like him in a long time if ever, excluding Jordan meaning...

Lebron’s not on a team that sucks that isn’t competing for a championship. The Lakers had bad years with Kobe, Lebron’s not having that or playing just to play.

Every year Lebron suits up, his team’s a legitimate title contender. You can’t say that for many other players.

But he gets hated on or dismissed.

Look at Kobe, he played for 20 years and has 1 MVP trophy to show for it :smh:

We have to appreciate Steph for what he is as a player. Best shooter in league history, but he can't carry stiffs to the promised land like Lebron has time and time again. There are people being shipped overseas to play army in the desert who were just starting Kindergarten first time Lebron took randoms to the finals. It's 2020 and he still carrying teams.

Shame if Lebron wins this year his detractors will shit on this championship. :smh: Even if they face the Clippers and sweep them, detractors will still talk shit. Nuggets will be downplayed even though they have a nice squad.

You just dismissed all Steph is while propping up lebron lol
Let's give steph credit the guy can shoot lol

Not the team was built around him and what he can do and he led that team.
You say he can't lead a team to the finals
Did you actually look at the stats from that first finals everyone tries to discredit lol?
Did you see what klay averaged for that series and scared on completely? Did you see a dude who didn't even start the entire series was the 2nd leading scorer on the team at 16 points a game?
No. Nobody ever talks about it because it hurts their argument.
Steph is easily the most dismissed and disrespected guy and it's because ppl feel like they should've been able to do it too. If he was 6'8 then ppl would treat him different. There'd be a sense of ok yeah he's just so gifted there's no way and yes appreciate it. But when a cat is roughly normal in size you get upset about it and not you personally just people with hoop dreams in general.

Every stat every metric every thing people use to measure anything proves that Steph is the reason for the success period

“Mistake”?

Dafuk is he talking about? Bang on young man!

Most basketball fans didn’t appreciate or like Kobe until he was retired and...

But not they don’t appreciate what Bron has done, and they won’t appreciate or realize it until he’s done playing.

And Gilbert Arenas was Steph before “Steph”, fans just don’t/didn’t appreciate him until he was done playing. Actually they still don’t appreciate him unless you really watched him play basketball.

But Steph did bring his style of play to the forefront so I can’t deny him that.

Jimmer and JJ Reddick were “Steph” too, they just didn’t translate that to the pros.

But yes, people are dismissive of the talents and abilities of current players simply because they don’t like them. Or they have hidden agendas, I’m speaking about those in the media regarding agendas.

None of these people were Steph too.
This is what I'm talking about.
None of those people could do exactly what Steph could do as well as he can.
None of them. If you're going to take parts of games and then say oh that's Steph before Steph we can certainly do that with any player then right?

Cause nobody you mentioned had all of things he has in his game which is why he won mvps and championships and the ppl you mentioned didn't come close to achieving any of that

It's simply disrespectful

^^^

Its like Gilbert been ERASED!!!!!

I don't know if he was necessarily STEPH?

But I completely understand your point

the ridiculous range the aggressiveness stretching out the defense the ability to COMPLETELY take over a game scoring in bunches.

but STEPH is to me a singular talent

they have been guys "like" kobe and Lebron ad MJ too

but STEPH to me is a standard bearer.
Lol
Idk if he was Steph but I understand your point lol.

Cool t-mac was lebron before lebron

Without KD and Klay on the court, was Steph “Steph”?

It takes more than one player to win championships.

Speaking of Lebron, I will give his gotdamn credit because:

I was just telling my boy that the Lakers will wipe the floor with the winner of the Clippers-Nuggets. Reason being is simply LEBRON! Every team/player has mental lapses in these but the Lakers have less of them and I give all that credit to Mr. Coach on the Floor, Bron. If the Nuggets even dared to try and get down by 15 to these Lakers they're DONE! Yes they have came back from a big deficit against them once but that was last season. Bron will effect the game on both ends and takeover and kill all your hope. He'll feast on the Nuggets youth and he'll also feast on the inconsistencies of "Pandemic P". Kawhi is a solid. And AD is and has always been a pure baller. He eats the Nuggets up every. single. time. As for the Clippers, they can't hold Jokic and they can't stop AD.

Bron has been a constant. A constant annoyance for me personally cuz I always wanted to see other players and teams in the Finals but yeah he's that dude.

When one says they’re “Like Steph Curry”, it’s usually about the range. It’s not “Oh look how he ran off that screen”.

But noted...

I said he can't carry stiffs. He can't. Doesn't mean he can't lead a solid team with all-stars. Doesn't mean he isn't an all-time great. He can't carry randoms like Lebron has done multiple times. It's not dismissive at all. Even when Lebron won with the heat he lead the team in points, rebounds, and assists. In some finals, he lead both teams.

He's an unreal talent.

Steph ain't leading comparable talent to deep playoff runs. He just isn't. But then again, who is?

Lol
Idk if he was Steph but I understand your point lol.

Cool t-mac was lebron before lebron

T-Mac dragged bums to the Finals?

T-Mac got his sidekicks overpaid by millions because they played on a team with him because he was successful?

I didn’t see that version of T-Mac.

They weren't even all stars when he led them to the finals. They were all stars after that for damn sure. Those weren't names when they went. The entire season they led wire to wire while ppl waited for them to fold lol
I'm not arguing saying he is lebron.
I am arguing that nobody is Steph and he's earned the right to be mentioned

And also y'all do this thing where getting there is amazing and results don't matter

I've never disrespected lebron in order to prop up Steph.
Never have never will.

But noted...

Again though it's dismissive
Have there been great passers in the nba?
Have there been great rebounders?
Have their been great defensive players?
Have their been dudes who impose their will?

YES

They just haven't been in one player so that's why lebron is lebron
Well... They've been in another player named jordan but lebron being physically bigger puts him in the alone category which is the point

It's the nba cats have attributes otherwise they wouldn't be in the nba .

But when you have to describe a few ppl to compare to 1 maybe that one is actually pretty fucking special and should get the respect and credit a 1 of 1 player deserves

Like even then you're like how he runs off that screen lol

Steph can literally shoot from anywhere. Literally has top 2 handles in the nba. Can pass if he's asked to. He finishes at the rim crazy can hit midrange But here's the thing that really gets lost

Name another player that's just as effective on the ball as off of it?

Who can kill you and destroy you with it ... And without it?

But yet it's ok to compare Steph to jj reddick and jimmer fredette?

Be well

I'm not disrespecting him though. KT was an all-star. That team wasn't going nowhere without him. And again, that ain't disrespecting Steph. That holds true for 99 percent of the league. With Lebron, it's plug and fucking play for the most part.

And yeah, steph is steph. That's what I said. Best shooter all-time. Great player. He's just not taking a lotto team to the playoffs. And a championship-level team ain't turning lotto without him(like the cavs did 2 times without LBJ).

Man when them niggas was out the game Steph was Stressed! He got to see what it was like to Have to shoot and score a lot and still lose!

He got to see what it was like to have to carry a team like Bron and said “Fuck this”!

And he damn sure wasn’t coming back to play after that injury with a bunch of stiffs, not to mention his main man “Triple Single”! :roflmao:

Lmaooo at mofos acting like Bron didn’t benefit from being in the leastern conference and taking bums to the finals and then the moment he goes out west he couldn’t lead bums to the playoffs then went and got AD

some real disingenuous shit in this thread

Word we comparing Gilbert Arenas to Steph Curry now? Lmaoo

Steph isnt the greatest shooter, thats Ray Allen. Ray has actually hit big shots in the Finals before and has memorable moments. I want him taking the last second big shot in a game, not Steph!

Steph isnt asked to carry stiffs to the promised land. He's asked to team up with rival superstar small forwards to "ruin the legacy" of LeBron. He plays for a fanbase that is basically a bunch of Jordan fans and Nike Jumpman buyers that live in the Bay Area of California. Oakland, San Francisco, Vallejo, etc. His coach is even MJs old teammate. I never met a Dubs fan that doesn't like MJ or think he's overrated, I met plenty that feel that way about Bron. Steph has more to prove but Im afraid privilege and a hunger to have a savior vs Bron may prevent him from provIng it.
 fam you wylin... Steph beat Bron 3/4 in the finals those are the facts

Real quick, @gene cisco, The Warriors are picking 2nd in the draft this year because they played without Steph. When Steph comes back, they're instantly in the playoffs again. Alright, i'm out.

Stat-wise sir did Steph lmaoo

Do your googles before you speak on this subject.
Post up the stats. Steph 2015 season was elite and he came back 2016 and put up better numbers, 2017 2018 same shit no fall off

Gil highest three year scoring run 25,29, 28.

Steph’s highest three year scoring run 30, 25, 26.

Steph’s got chips so he was more successful.

Yep Gilbert has been erased. Go watch a highlight of Gil, he couldn’t be guarded. He’s shoot from anywhere and take anyone off the dribble. I know you’ve seen him play but I’m just saying.
Word we comparing Gilbert Arenas to Steph Curry now? Lmaoo
Yeah I missed a page or two so I don't know how we got on Gilbert and Steph. I will say that if we talking about lasting impact than clearly Steph is in a different league. But I do agree that there is a generation of newer NBA fans who act like Steph was the first player to pull up from the logo on a consistent basis. Agent 0's contributions to the long range game has definitely been forgotten. Baron Davis too. And he was doing it in a damn Warriors jersey.
