He was never overhyped to me, my thoughts were always “Why’d they draft that nigga so high”? He wasn’t that good in college. He averaged 11points and 6 rebounds. Even back then I didn’t see what the scouts saw.

You're right it was definitely scouts overhyping him. Shit they had me thinking dude was gonna turn out to be special lol. A lot of players who come out of powerhouses like Duke & North Carolina get overhyped.
Agreed and I guess he was overhyped to get drafted second, that pick always confused me. I remember him in college, but not really. I remember him playing for Carolina but don’t remember him being amazing or nice.
I’m happy that he had a long career and got to retire healthy.
