Dont look at it as they have an issue with us self identifying. Look at it as ALL Black immigrant groups support and work to maintain American WS as a collective. The people who coined that phrase don't speak for the many people it seeks to describe.

When people criticize "ADOS" they are not talking about those people, the vast majority of whom do not identify with that term.

They are criticizing the people pushing the "ADOS" agenda, which is divide and conquer bullshit.

Those two uses need to be recognized as entirely distinct in this conversation. Pierce obviously isn't criticizing the people the term seeks to describe, who have nothing to do with this insignificant would-be movement.

What I find odd is folks will tie the movement to Russian propaganda but are crickets about how the soviets used the same tactics leading up to and during the civil rights era. 30 million people, we are 90% of the Black US population. And 100% of the Black American culture. Keep in mind our ethnic group has been here several centuries. My great great grandparents lived in the same state I do.

I will also add many Black immigrants are only half, they not even full blooded islanders or Africans. Especially in NYC, ADOS women are how alot of immigrants became citizens thru anchor baby hustles. Many grew up in Black American households and have minimal connection with their island ancestry outside of enclaves. If you discounted them from the immigrant population the numbers would be even smaller.
