Mischaracterization.
Pan-Africanism depends on all groups in the diaspora to be a part of one movement against white supremacy. Throughout the diaspora there are some groups, particularly in the Spanish-speaking countries or nations which were colonized, who still worship whites and are sympathetic to white supremacist narratives, and are highly resistant to opposition of those narratives. Historically we have united with them thinking that we were the same, but we're not. We can't afford those mistakes anymore as african americans.
