when mom and dad parted ways and both remarried found out I had 2 sisters and a brother on the westside, a brother and sister two streets over from my grandparents house were I lived and two brothers in the NO. My dad was a hoe but some how held us all down.

yooooooo

that shit is crazy, my homies pops, had his own limo business in new york, miami, and cuba...

he would visit my homie like three times a year, every time he came it was an event...

food and beer all over the place, had my first beer at his house at age eight.. a budweiser, them small little qtr cans they used to sell..

and I remember his pops had on white shoes, and them fuckin keebler elves hats....

and it wasnt till years later, he told me his pops had not just one but two families in america and another one cuba..

and he said, it wasnt till he was in his teens, he realized his pops was mob affiliated..

I didn’t find out I had a stepsister until I went to my fathers funeral about 10-12 years ago, I’d actually forgotten about her until I saw this thread. I wasnt even gonna go to the funeral because he hadnt been in my life since I was a baby but my mom kinda guilted me into going. Me and my brother and sister get to the place and they want “his kids” to ride in the front limousine, we get in there and another woman is already in there. No one ever said this is your sister or anything but I was reading the funeral obituary and saw four names instead of three when it listed his kids. We never talked to her at the funeral or at his parents house after the funeral, I don’t even remember her name or even what she looks like. I didnt really feel anyway about it because like I said he hadn’t been in my life since I was a baby

TRUE STORY...
I found out my Grandpops not only had 2 kids who were only 3 and 4 years older than me but that they LIVED DIRECTLY BEHIND HIS HOUSE....

According to them... He helped raised them... bought BOTH OF THEM VEHICLES AND SENT THEM TO COLLEGE

AND... MY GRANDMOTHER KNEW EVERYTHING... WHICH IS WHY THEY HAD SEPARATE BEDROOMS IN ENTIRE LIFE.

My grandmoms passed away first... And then he died. And thats when the shit hit fan because he had a will and they were in it...

My pops didnt care... Nor did uncles... But my stuck up aunts felt a way about it...

Me?

I CRACKED THE FUCK UP BECAUSE IT ALL MADE SENSE TO ME...
He never liked us in his backyard... And he always had dogs and junk cluttering up the yard as if he wanted to keep us out of there... Now I know why...

WOW, so he WALKING back and forth between grandma and the other woman..smh

I doubt he had other kids and if he did it wouldn't matter much to us cause we can't remember a time of him never being there for us no matter what it was.

The problem is having so many aunt's who married no good men and stayed with em and them having outside kids....large ass family.

My half brother was born in January, my sister was born in September of the same year. My half brother's mother got mad at my pops once, so she came to our house at 1:00am, rang the doorbell, jumped in her car and left; leaving my half brother on our porch. He was two years old at the time. My pops brought him in the house, and my mom went nuts. Pop's was like, "What am I supposed to do, she just left him out there."

My mom was like, "I don't give a fuck what you do, but he ain't staying here..." So Pops put on some clothes and took my half brother back to his mother. Moms divorced him after that. I remember an attorney came to the house to speak with them about the divorce etc... When o'le boy left, Pops was all sad and shit. He asked her, "Why do you want a divorce?" I'm like 10 years old, and in my head I'm like, "Dude, are you fucking for real, asking her that?"

people act like little kids don't pick up on shit... :smh: :smh: :smh:

here's a question...seeing how your mother reacted to that...did that affect or influence how you treat women? have you cheated on you girlfriends or are you more mindful about how fucked up that is??

Yes that situation did influence how I treated and treat women. But, I also understand that it takes two to tangle. What I mean by that is, if I'm with a woman and she's not meeting my needs, then I'm going to let her know that my needs aren't being met. If she continues to not meet my needs, then I'm going to make sure that my needs are met. It is what it is after that. I don't get off on hurting women, but I'm not going to let them hurt me either.

In turn, I try to make sure that her needs are met as well. But, I'm a firm believer that women cannot be satisfied in the long run. I don't know if it's because of their emotional state or their insecurities.

I also believe that it is difficult for most men to be strictly monogamous. I thought that Pops was raggedy then, but if his needs were not being met, what was he supposed to do?

Did not bother me one bit.

Where I come from most men have children with numerous women. Its the norm. My Dad had kids with 3 women. My Grandfather had 16 kids with 3 wives. All lived in a compound house and each wife had her own house. He was the village chief. I have a friend whose father went thru 7 wives and 40 children.

This Western notion/construction of 1 man, 1 wife and just 1 nuclear family is a construction that often does not apply.

In high school we used to tease the he'll out of one of my homeboys about how he looked liked a girl in one of our classes. He used to get super heated cuz he and the girl couldn't stand each other. One day we were at this homeboy's crib and his pops shows up. He sits around for a while talking shit then we all left together. While we walking out on the streets, the same girl from our class appears out of nowhere and yells out "daddy!" and bear hugs my boys pops. Yo!!! First there was shock, then uncontrollable laughter and then the "I fucking knew it!" We never let that shit die. And even tho they found out they were brother and sister, they still didn't like each other. To make the situation even more messy, both of their mothers were side chicks and their dad was married with more kids with his wife.

But on a personal note, found out my pops had a son when I was about seven. My brother is about a year older than me. Moms was a special woman and didn't blame him for being born so he was always around the crib with me and my other siblings and would sleep over during the summers. We were so close I never thought of him as a "half" anything. Moms placed the blame where it belonged and got a divorce. Strangely enough though, my brothers moms and mine became very close friends later in life and remained so.
