Just finished the series up and man oh man ... INCREDIBLE SHOW. I’m gonna be coming down off this show for a while now.
All I’ll say is that The Professor ... that man is a goddamn genius to the umpteenth degree.

This is the first show that made me actually do a REAL binge watching session... 13 hours straight! I saw the sun come up and didnt even blink - shit was crack!! Rumors of seasons 5 and 6 are in the air for 2021. Cant wait.

Started watching this a couple of weeks ago and have burned through 2 seasons so far. That main Tokyo chick is hot af and I’d bet that she’s a great lay

This series debuted in 2023 and I watched it in 2024.
The series is a prequel to “Money Heist” following the character Berlin organizing and executing his own high level heist in Paris, France. It’s not stated how far back but it looks to happen a few years prior being Berlin doesn’t look younger in this series.
We get a different perspective of Berlin from what we saw of him in Money Heist. Information on his personal life is disclosed. He also conducts his heist completely different from the Professor with more discipline and oversight.
There are only 8 episodes, the heist takes place in episode 3 and the remaining episodes deal with the getaway.
Without spoiling it, there is a cameo of two major characters from Money Heist. Their appearance gives a different perspective to what we saw in Money Heist.
The series doesn’t hold up on the level of suspense and twists in Money Heist. It’s obvious the producers are going a different route with this series.
The ending made it clear the producers know how Netflix is with cancelling stuff or abandoning it. So it’s ended like a limited series with potential for further seasons. The Netflix makes decisions based on their weird algorithms. We should get word on a 2nd season within 3 months to early next year.
Three seasons would be great with the 2nd season going more into who Berlin is, the finale scene should introduce the Professor and a season 3 has them together with the final scene leading into the opening scene of Money Heist making it one continuous story.
We shall see…

The season has Berlin being somewhat blackmailed into a new heist. He agrees, but quickly decides to take matters into his own hands and plan a 2nd heist against the person who hired him.
The team he had in the first season return.
In this season, Berlin falls in love and gets married. Relationships between team members and outsiders cause problems.
The Professor makes a cameo and brings up ‘The Money Heist’. It looks like at this time nothing has been planned and Berlin seems to not be interested in doing it.
The first season and this season highlights that Berlin is obvious the mastermind in planning ‘Money Heist’ and not the Professor. Both seasons show why Berlin/Professor kept a stern ‘Micro-Management’ on the operation. There were mistakes made by Berlin in both seasons that were not made in the original series.
The 2nd season with some questions on…
• What happens to Berlin’s wife?
• Why was this team not in the original series? (Or if they were, did they operate in the background)
There wasn’t much for suspense this season. Both Heists play out in the season finale and are the highlight of the season.
Netflix has this listed as a Limited Series. I looked into it and there is no update on a 3rd season, but the creators are planning on doing other stories in the ‘Money Heist’ universe with Netflix.
The actor playing Berlin is slowly aging out of the role, so they gonna have to work quickly closing out his backstory to connect directly into the original series.
