Let say a country has slaves, you do not want to be seen engaging freely in trade with other Africans, while you have some chained up. While we are mostly employees of their companies buying from their businesses, you don't want to be seen engaging in arm length trade with Maduro freely exchanging goods and services. Muslim, Indians and Asians are a small minority and can be tolerated.

As for Trinidad and Venezuela oil, I don't know too much about the Venezuela side but I know that a lot of the Oil platforms and Gas plants are closing down. My nephew is a plant manager who is trying to relocate to Canada, Texas or Alaska due to his plant shutting down soon. Matter fact I just got back from over there, and their once rich economy is sagging causing oil prices to soar.
I don't first hand know enough about the subject to elaborate but will say there is a lot of fuckery going on over there causing it to be a hot spot for criminal pirates from Venezuela to grow.

The amount of oil being imported ain't got shit to do with controlling the Petro Dollar. We're fracking lower grades of petroleum, I think.

The US military has been the enforcement arm of Corporate interests for over a century now. The US STILL wants to maintain control over the market and to profit off of it.
How many CITGO stations do you see around these days? Other than franchises, they were owned by Venezuela. They got drummed out of business with the sanctions against that country.

This isn't even about Party affiliation, it's about Corporate interests. Ain't nobody gonna be going to jail behind it either. The Oligarchs got this shit sewn up Bruh. Ain't no Judges even tryin' to hear it. :money::money::money:

The oil reseves probably have more to do with keeping the $ as the worlds reserve currency.
 
The long game to all of this is a trade agreement between Russia, and the US. This is just a part to the overall goal. Same with Saudi with the oil.

Ah, yes. The budget. Those in the know are aware that this stock market, before the COVID, was propped up by insane spending and debt. A crash was/is inevitable. The plan was, as usual for the repugs, to grab as much as they can because a downturn generally means a new party in control. Then the dems balance the budget, reduce the economy and produce a surplus budget only to get voted out so the repugs can pillage the country again.
The cycle continues.

You're only partially correct.
The refining of oil is what the US does better than anybody. The control of the oil market, indeed any market, is maintained by a small cabal of people who we don't even know. What we see is what we're meant to see. Certainly, corporations are manipulating the world economy but they have their masters too.
National armies have long been the de facto enforcement arm of companies and later corporations. That's nothing new. Dutch East India corporation anybody? And long before even them. It goes hand in hand with the european/white ideology that they are divinely appointed to rule.

You are wrong. Although there is a very small amount of truth in your statement, it must be qualified. The political parties are indeed used mostly to give the illusion of difference to the masses. Remember, there is nothing legal or binding in a political party. Nothing. It is only through tradition they exist.
Foreign policy is NOT determined by the CIA, NSA, the alleged deep state or any of the other alphabet organizations in place. Foreign policy is decided by people you never even heard of and directed through corporations (read: political funding or dark money) to elected officials whose job it is to "explain" or rather sell the visible machinations to the public.
