I really wish that Players Magazine had the archives that Playboy has because Players is literally the "Soul Train" of Black erotica.
The magazine started in 1973 and ended in 2005. That's 32 years of styles, sexual attitudes and opinions as welll as notable classic models, golden-era porn-stars and even some early internet porn-stars making their debuts.
One thing that I always loved about Players over Playboy is that the concept of a monthly Playmate doesn't always allow for women to return and pose again. While many Playmates have returned, in some cases as many as 40 or 50 years later, it's still a rare occurence for a woman to return and a return doesn't always mean nude.
With Players, you can see Keli Stewart make her debut in 1976 and then still see her in the magazine 15 years later still hot and still nude in 1991.

Well said. The world doesn't know how much these magazines shaped our sexual desires and attitudes with black women (those of us who love black women). And like you said it's crazy how it documented the change in styles and looks over the years...
