You missed the point. It's not that we don't think we would benefit from Bernie's plans as much as others would, even though we wouldn't. The real point is, we realistically don't believe Bernie (an old, cranky, social democrat, and jew) can garner enough moderate democratic support to beat Trump.

I know there has been friction between Obama and Sanders which started over a budget compromise that Obama made with congress and other policy issues. However, it was earlier stated that the problem between Obama and Sanders was a matter of "jealously". I asked for references on that because I knew it was BS.

Trump could be videoed fucking a goat in the center of a pentagram on the White House lawn and would not lose a vote or have an ill word spoken against him because the GOP understands the power of court and SCOTUS appointments and because they feel he is for their priorities. Actually Trump doesn't give a damn about any of them, he is just catering to what the most vocal supporters want to maintain power.


As long as folks are complaining about the nominee, whether it ends up being Biden or Bernie, instead of going all in and trying to get others to go all in, then we will lose. We can't just win the presidency, we have to get Congress too or nothing gets passed. We out number the GOP. At this point I would vote for a dem in a near vegetative state over Trump.

We have his administration actually hiding info about the coronavirus outbreak, endangering public safety, which last time I checked included black people, and folks on here want to dilly dally around on some BS. Most of the passion in what you saying are behind points I agree on. I said clearly I'll vote for whoever the nominee is. That doesn't mean I don't have opinions about what I prefer. Biden was a non factor til black people started voting, which says whoever we back has the viability. That counts down ballot as well. It seems like circular logic to say we need to back Biden cuz he has the best shot, but he didnt have a shot til we backed him. A lot of the lingering disdain from Obama's terms is due to the fact that we backed him strong, and he got in and worked hard on lbgtq and immigrant issues (that's not me....that's a common bgol narrative). Biden is saying those are his priorities on the front end.

None of the Trump fuckery is lost on me. I want to see him out like we all do. Its a false equivalence to suggest that because Biden isnt my preference, I dont understand the situation.
