“I have never voted for a candidate in my life.“
Stopped reading right there.

Readers > voters

I've never missed a presidential election but I don't buy into the respectability politics of shaming people like Boots or Colin Kaepernick who choose not to support or validate a corrupt system.

You really think the only option for black people should be turning out 100% for Democrats every election? (I'm already starting to regret taking the time to share this as I can easily see it becoming the same old tired ADOS-fueled conversation that has been had hundreds of times here instead of one that acknowledges any of the many points made in the OP.)

I vote because I agree with you that it is smarter than not voting. But the non-voters give us leverage which is much needed in the corrupt & closed two party system. The problem is the political parties, not every individual who sees the system as hopeless or non-responsive.

:smh:

Is he not paying attention to whats happening in France? A country with a 49% tax rate where workers are having pension strikes because they don't like the gov reforming out of control pensions?

If your taxes DOUBLE to pay for these socialism fantasies is it a win? What if that's not enough and people strike for more? (LOL at "what if". Spoiler alert: It will cost way more that they estimate. It always does.)
