Black Man of The Day: Derek Jeter - All Time Great Yankee (Hall of Fame) UPDATE: ESPN DOCUMENTARY - THE CAPTAIN

You knew he would get in 1st ballot.

But keep it a buck, he was never considered the best of the best at his position.
But that's the thing. He's going in ANYWAY no matter what. :D
What voter doesn't know this fact, but says to himself,"No! Fuck that! He's going in, but not like this on my watch!"

That's some anti- Yankees, faux purist shit right there. He/she stopped it just because they could.

Most likely the Nay Voter is a MAGA/ Trump supporter

Nah that's not what that is. Let's stop that.
Cause the same voter didn't feel that way when the YANKEE mariano rivera went in with 100% of the votes.

Come on BrownTur ... I mean Bills.. don’t start :hmm:

It's true. I've never been the biggest Jeter fan. I recognize his part in the success they had for those years.
he is no doubt a hall of fame player.
him not getting in unanimous isn't a travesty.
Ken Griffey was infinitely better than him as a player and didn't get in 100%
Rivera was the greatest closer of all time and the voters treated him as such with the unanimous vote.

Arod was 40-40 before the roids hit.
Importance to the team yes he was just the staple which is no slight to him. He's a good player

Jeter being a hall of famer is up for debate.

But what they did to Ken WAS a damn travesty..

this has NOTHING to do with whether or not Jeter etc are official

is about these f*cked up so called sports journalist bitter and envious and using what LITTLE power they still have ...and abusing players lives.

sidebar..

what they they did to Pearson in the NFL was f*cked up to.

Should’ve been 100% put his numbers up against any other shortstop all time. His leadership, the rings....probably a Yankee hater
Numbers wise he's not better than Honus Wagner or Cal Ripken, but those are the two all time greats. No question he should have been 100%. That writer has some explaining to do.

Barry Bonds should get in 100% and he won't even make the hall. so I'm not weeping for Jeter

Again I don't think this is a cry for Jeter thing

OF COURSE BONDS SHOULD BE IN...

Hell Albert Bell should be too

this is about writers personal vendettas and holding grudges

THAT is what is pissing me off.
