HBO Series: Watchmen (2019) (drops 10/20/19) Thread

Oh yeah i got it.

Its because i have heard more and more people recently diss the watchmen movie more and more since the series came out.

Thought the series was making a slick reference.

Btw... i liked the movie for what it was at the time and since.
I loved the movie. Impossible to add so much from the novel really. I just liked the squid better.

Finally caught up and had to figure out where I left off in here lol.
Curious to know what was Cal's accident. That should answer why he doesn't do much.
Not having prior knowledge can really hurt you as the show goes on. Had to show my wife the animated comic scene with the squid vs the movie scene. She isn't watching but was around when I was catching up and was lost.

I think the Cal mystery gonna be a shocker

Remember how he let his son watch that Minutemen show after ALL those parental warnings and how he said there is no heaven, how he hates lying, etc

Lets not turn this into a women bashing thread.

Stop it.
Let's not be unable to say what it is.
The conversation was about why the wife left, talking about said wife isn't woman bashing.
Woman bashing is bringing her up for no reason with no context, fishing for a reason to blame her for something.
We're specifically talking about why she made the decision to leave. I can feel like it wasn't warranted. That is not a bash.

I'm seeing articles about how "woke" this show is racially, so of course I log onto BGOL and see people bitching about one gay black character or couple. #fixated
