I loved the movie. Impossible to add so much from the novel really. I just liked the squid better.

Finally caught up and had to figure out where I left off in here lol.
Curious to know what was Cal's accident. That should answer why he doesn't do much.
Not having prior knowledge can really hurt you as the show goes on. Had to show my wife the animated comic scene with the squid vs the movie scene. She isn't watching but was around when I was catching up and was lost.

Dude was traumatized by what happened to him as a kid and had anger issues and going around beating up bad guys was like a release for him, the episode didn't do a good job at portraying it.
She didn't do a good job of being a wife either.
She encouraged it
