Randy Orton signing with AEW would be as big a get for them as Razor Ramon/Diesel was for WCW.

Jericho is already like the Hulk Hogan WCW signing.

If Orton's contract is up in January 2020, as has been reported, then things will get VERY interesting come late 2019/early 2020...
 
In the age of the internet it would be hard to make it a surprise though. They'd have to sign a contract after the debut run in or the info will leak.

I feel you.

However, Jake Hager/Jack Swagger apparently signed with AEW months before he showed up on Dynamite.

Mind you, not comparing the Hager signing to an Orton one, but when Hager debuted, that was a bit of a surprise.

Also, a quick note about "Private Party" Cassidy needs to stop doing that high pitch squeal during matches. That shit gets on my nerves. If you want to be taken serious as a tag team act like it.
 
AEW Tag match final next week should be great. Great match to open the show, even if there were quite a few botches in the Private Party/Lucha Bro. match.

Glad Dark Order lost. They suck.

First time seeing this NWA thing and good job mixing the nostalgic nature of the old school NWA. It seems new and fresh to what my eyes regularly see on WWE(although don't really watch and it has sucked since WM 31 for the most part).

What they should do is ask to run this interview with Bruno ADMITTING the NWA was superior until around 1982 over WWWF. Then again that will break the old school #1 rule where is talking about the inner working.
 
They need a new engine or they need to work out the flaws in the one that they have now. After that they need to decide if they want the game to be serious or full of silly shit like this year. Playing as a Frankenstein version of a wrestler is just not for me. And padding the roster has gotten old. There is no need for Sasha Banks to have 4 different versions. Just make them alternate attires in one slot.

I've been buying these WWE2K games since '15. I knew when they reported that Yukes had left that this was a shit show. 2K don't give a fuck what they ship out no more. They figure they can just patch shit along the way. The rollout for this game was unusually slow and guarded. They made The Fiend a preorder character, that's telling you right there something is up. A main roster character, the biggest in the company at the time, you have to preorder to get that character. They knew this game was shitty and instead of holding onto it and fixing it they screw their audience. I knew I wasn't buying this shit. Glad I stuck to my guns.

Yea I'm sticking with 19 for a bit longer. 14 was the best one in a while. Was the last one made by THQ too. WWE should not be treated like Madden. 2K needs some competition for the license.

I know AEW is supposedly working with the team that created the AKI engine, and Yukes left to start their own wrestling game. With the stronghold WWE has on characters and library, both need a strong CAW suite. It's so much to improve on it's not even funny. 2K do so much wrong you know what you have to do to create a better game than them.

They say it's a spiritual successor to Wrestlefest. Which I've never played.

Yeah I posted the initial anouncement a month ago. Reminded me of the Wrestle Fest arcade game. Not to crazy about the gameplay I've seen.

Fire Pro Wrestling World is not the best graphically but the caw and move sets are deep for a wrestling game. Graphics chase most people away but I love playing and Simulating CPU tournaments. People sleep on Fire Pro.

I got that one too. It's cool but simple shit like the entrances and no real title belts limit it. It could be so much more
 
My only issue with Fire Pro is that it does not limit my imagination. So I have 800 damn things I wanna do in the game at once. The CAW limit in 2K kept me sorta humble. But I wish they would increase it to 200.
