I’m from Camden and we are not Philly. Philly don’t have an aquarium as nice as ours. Camden might have the best Aquarium in the US.
OK we all know about yall aquarium shit my best friend just took her daughter over the wknd

Nothing in Camden looks anything like No. Jersey yall don't even talk like us. We don't have rowhomes like yall but Philly do

Most ppl from Camden NEVER even been up north but we been down there

Yall still more Philly than Jersey, what's ya teams Eagles, Phillies, Sixers?

Devils play 15 mins from me in Nwk, Jets/Giants play 15 mins from me in Rutherford. Brooklyn Nets was NJ Nets I could jump over the Goethals Bridge without traffic be at the Barclay's in 25 mins.

It's not personal it's just what we feel about ppl under exit 8A on the pike, it's the same way we feel about once u pass Parsippany on 80. Or once you pass a certain point on the Pkwy

Camden's bad, but it ain't any worse than Newark or parts of Philly like SouthWest, Kensington, North philly, and areas of Germantown.
Camden is just as bad as North Philly trust me.

I'm from Jersey City the hood still the hood but that downtown area is special right now they fixed that shit up its baby Manhattan frfr I can't believe how beautiful that shit looks

I'm heavy in Jersey I have ties in all the hoods besides Trenton because I either have family there, worked out there, or lived out there

I wouldn't live in NONE OF THESE PLACES

BTW my family is from Camden they all scattered in the 80-90s I don't think not one of em actually live out there even tho alot of them still go to church out there but I say that to say this CAMDEN IS PHILLY

WE DON'T CONSIDER Camden, Trenton, or Atlantic City part of NJ it's debatable if Asbury is NJ too lol

Once u pass exit 8A on that turnpike its a wrap.

The hoods will always be Nwk, JC, Paterson, Elizabeth, Irvington, Plainfield, Passaic, East Orange, New Brunswick, and it's towns that have lil hoods and/or PJs in them that has its ghetto parts like Linden, Rahway, Carteret, Bayonne, Hoboken, Franklin

Alot of people say North Jersey and South Jersey are like 2 different states. The culture differs alot, big contrast.

North Jersey is like a microcosm of NYC (the buildings, the fast energy, etc.)...South Jersey is the opposite. Lots of farmland and laid-back energy, especially when you leave Atlantic City and Camden.

I agree

Alot of out people think Newark is the hood, but from my experience Irvington is far worse.

Lol nah homie Irvington is lil bullshit compared to Newark n alot of the shit that takes place in Irvington is due to Newark Street politics

Newark is being gentrified more so then Irvington. You dont see white women jogging with their toy poodles yet in Irvington.....but you will soon.

When I seen Becky jogging through the crowd of vendors by the Prudential Center, I knew it was the beginning of the end... :smh:

That's the downtown area it's the same thing going on in Jersey City but believe me u can't judge the whole city like that

I be running around out here trust me Newark n Jersey City is on another level than Irvington despite the whole gentrification thing their going through

The places I doubt ever get gentrified is Paterson tho. That shit still look like the 90s. See JC has the whole NYC view, Light Rail trains, Exchange Pl, Journal Sq, Path Trains to the city

Newark has NJ Pac, Penn St (NJ Transit and Path trains) , Prudential Arena, Seton Hall Law, Rutgers Newark, that attract white ppl

Maaannnn Paterson doesn't have any of that I lived out there for 3 yrs moved out mid 2010 but still was heavy out there for another 2 yrs yoooooo it's a dump and it's a bowl like Nawlins the shit gets flooded so bad. Only thing PTown has is NJ transit buses and alot of strip clubs

Idk I've never been there but I heard great things so I'll give it it's props

When they gonna bull doze all those abandon rowhouses and start fixing up the city tho? I heard in the 60s-70s it's was real nice out there

My mother have 2 pix of me down there in the 80s one I'm playing near a Well and another at my great grandfather house I'm crying because I climbed up a tree but was too scared to come down lol

The only cacs in Camden go to buy drugs. I’d say it’s half Puerto Rican’s now. There was always Rican’s but it’s mad Rican’s now. I don’t see the city Gentrifying anytime soon. It’s a shame too due to the close proximity to philly and the Aquarium is the best in the US. I was just there last year and ain’t shit changed other than police using Drones and cameras posted up everywhere.

They're starting the gentrification in Paterson, especially with the current mayor in place. A good example is the Paterson Armory which was burned down a year or so ago. Supposedly a new luxury high-rise is going up in it's place. The gentrification will be spotty and slow, for mainly the reason that the business/commercial appeal is bigger in Newark and Jersey City compared to Paterson. Your examples above are spot-on.

I'm from Paterson, and spent a lot of time in college in Jersey City. I spend a lot of time in Newark for work currently.

I did leave out yall have a train station tho and yes I remember when the armory burnt down feel like 3 yrs ago tho shit I had a delivery out there that day shit was NUTS tryna navigate around that area

Coming from a DC native, Jersey City is very nice.

Lotta thick chicks everywhere and the quality of life seems very good.

I've been all over the place up there:
Newark
EO
South Orange
Montclair
Teaneck
New Brunswick
Trenton
Cherry Hill

I chilled in EO and had a few broads up there.
New Brunswick looks nothing like when I was around there. It's a whole different city now.
South and Central Jerz are totally different. Same with the northern parts up in the mountains. It's about the same size as S. Korea and has so many contrasting areas.

All truths.

It's not a major city so it's not big like say a DC

They built alot of condos and fixed up the downtown area but the quality of life was always good on the outskirts of the Aves and the Projects

They knocked down all 3 High Rise PJs and one of the Lo Rises but it's still more lower ones like Booker T n Marion which shit pops off all the time. And the knocked down ones only became townhouses that look good during the day but the drama comes out at night cause it's still hood ass ppl living in there

The hill is still the hill I've been happy it hasn't been that many killings this summer because they been having cops posted round the clock up and down the Aves which is great but a few wks ago down my old PJs this young boy got hit up and 3 others shot its crazy because it wasn't even his beef he moved outta there a few yrs back and was just out there visiting but mfers don't care smh some sad shit tho RIP

What’s going on with Newark and the water?

Brian Williams on MSNBC last week was doing stories on Newark and their water situation showing folks getting small rations of bottled water from the local govt.

new Brunswick is picking up. lots of high rises and apartments going up. got 2 major hospitals near by plus rutgers college. nj transit right in the center of it taking you to manhattan in an hr. if you driving its got major highways bordering it.

New Brunswick is nice.....

My girl took me to Burlington. Saw some baddies there... they all fuck with dope boys tho.

It was boring to say the least.

Too many Indians in New Jersey, you cross paths with them; they will hover over you constantly. There whole network of call centers and IT companies can make life miserable for you.

I deal with alot of different racial and ethnic groups, they are at the top of the list as swarmers. They can barely understand you and lack the self awareness to back off; or lack civility due to their culture.

Stealing shit from you and posing like they are the experts.

Indians are a close second to whites on groups to avoid. They will bottom caste your black ass and play retarded games with you all day. Avoid their hotels, IT products, job recruiters. They treat whites differently so they have different image of them than me.

They use American front companies to hide their role, nobody would do business with them straight up. Asian don't do this, they build shit with their brand and image.

SJ is not that bad especially where I live since I am on the shore. It is definetly built for families and not for city people. Coming from Chicago I was damn near in culture shock when I moved here. Raising kids here is great with all the stuff SJ has to offer, as far as restaurants it's just like anywhere else you just have to know where to go

I can't speak on the North, but South Jersey is wack. SJ is for families. The only good thing about SJ is it's proximity to Philly. Restaurants are wack. Bars (unless you're white) are wack.
My co-worker says Jersey City is cool, but I've never been.

Me and one of my guys that works for me missed a flight to Philly. We had to fly into Newark, get a rental car, and drive to Philly from there. Our short time in Newark was straight bananas. I damn near got in a fistfight with a shady looking cabby who was following us talking shit while we were looking for the rental car place. He would have got stomped out if he didn't runoff. The free airport tram operator was charging some Asian tourist money to ride the tram. While we were on the tram it kept stopping for service checks and every time the doors opened, one of the service workers appeared in the opening practicing his standup routine and that cac was terrible. He kept doing it even though I told him to move the fuck on. On top of that, trying to actually leave that raggedy mutherfucka, we were stuck on the loop with traffic cameras flashing like it was the start of the summer Olympics. I swore that I am never going to that mutherfucka again.

The entire state is a shit hole.
Yup. Well for the most part I agree. There are some spots that have some beautiful homes. Like Hopewell. Problem is you gotta deal with some outrageous property taxes. Bordentown has some nice homes but you gotta deal wit dem racist ass crakkkas. Moorestown is nice and a bit more diversity that people think. It's really one of those states where you gotta know where ta go. I'll say this much though.......my son is a junior in high school and plays golf. Jersey has some beautiful ass golf courses. He played at Princeton University one time. Man that course was :eek2::eek2::eek2:
