Warriors 'disappointed' in investor for Lowry push

Everyone thought Russ was just capping. Smh

The fans that sit court side and pay that big money for those seats think they can do whatever.
What? You can't go around telling White people they can't do something. They'll be stuck with the belief that they're no better than anyone else. We can't have that hahahahahaha

dont be surprised.
i can only tell you so much as far as how the team has been ran to this point
this type of shit don't fly
dude fucked up his access his everything on some bullshit and he will be dealt with in ways that hurt more but seem like they dont matter

no more games
and revoke in ownership of the team hurts his entire life more than 10 days in the county and some court fees that amount to nothing to a billionaire would do.

holy sh*t, who in the hell DO YOU KNOW???

So now its OFFICIAL

He has been BANNED indefinitely by the league and under review

and UNIVERSALLY chided by WHITE media outlets...

I mean even the MOST right wing outlets have criticized him

calling him a COWARD (and even though race was not specifically mentioned, I was surprised it was IMPLIED and Lowry was applauded)

apparently the rumor is the only reason he hasn't given a PUBLIC PERSONAL apology is because you are CORRECT

the team is PISSED and so is the Hedge Fund.

I am genuinely SHOCKED

sidebar..

salute to Lowry for not only keeping his composure but speaking so eloquently afterward.

I've been saying this since the Russell Westbrook situation. The league need do something about this because white folks think they can do whatever they want to players and get away with it....

We still havent heard about the wife in Utah, who started that mess with Westbrook. The Jazz banned the husband but not the wife...

The person who reached over when Raptors guard Kyle Lowry fell into the crowd Thursday while chasing a loose ball during Game 3 of the NBA Finals with the Golden State Warriors wasn’t just a fan. He was also a minority owner of the Golden State Warriors and a prominent Silicon Valley investor.

Mark Stevens, the managing partner of S-Cubed Capital, has been banned from the rest of the NBA Finals, the Warriors said Thursday.

Who is Stevens? Stevens is best known in Silicon Valley as a former partner at Sequoia Capital, the high-profile venture capital firm that has backed famous tech companies for decades from Apple and Cisco to Google and Instagram. Forbes estimates his net worth at $2.3 billion. He joined Sequoia in 1989 as an associate and was a partner from 1993 to 2012.

Stevens is also a USC alumnus, with degrees in electrical engineering and economics granted in 1981.

How much has he given away? Stevens has donated more than $100 million to USC, according to 2017 profile published by the university. The donations include a $22 million endowment in 2004 to establish the USC Stevens Institute for Technology Commercialization, which was later re-named the USC Stevens Center for Innovation, a $50 million donation in 2015 for the USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute and another $10 million to create the Stevens Academic Center.

Stevens has previously served on the board of trustees of the Menlo School, a private school in Atherton, according to his S-Cubed biography, though he is not listed as a current board member.

Stevens and his wife Mary have signed the Giving Pledge, a promise to give away half their net worth adopted by many wealthy individuals.

According to the Menlo Park Almanac, the couple has also made gifts to Santa Clara University, Mary Stevens’ alma mater, and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

How long has Stevens been involved with the Warriors? Stevens became a minority owner of the Warriors in 2013, when he purchased the stake in the team held by current Sacramento Kings principal owner Vivek Ranadive.

S-Cubed Capital did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

You poor niggas think the same rules apply to rich white folks?
no ...we know better...but when we get the chance to stick it to one of them, we do so......using their own rules.

like KAT williams said about the tigers in the cage. All real tigers want that one chance...that one single solitary chance to show a muthafkr, we aint bullshitting!!!!

Lowry got in his face, then got him banned using the NBAs own reverse psychology on them.

fuck that dude for pushing that brother but i am immensely proud of the way lowry handled that shot...a perma ban hurts much longer than a jab to the face.

The push wasn't that big of a deal. A 200lbs dude torpedos into you at full force and they mad at a push? Man up. Shouldn't have even been a mention.

Uhhhh... You assume the risk when you sit courtside. I'd bet money he wouldn't have done it at a Giants game and another teams player dove in the stands for a foul ball... Yeah I'm putting it out there. It was because Lowry was black and it's innate in cacs to "put us in our place."

Notice the image being used here. Not the one with the CAC shoving Lowry, but an image where it shows Lowry angry and towering over him.

Make him sell his shares! Its the principal behind the nudge! NO REASON TO push him whether it hurt him or not, it sets a precedent that these white owners can now hit players. Fuck that NO HAPS.

I don't see them making him sell...

but like @largebillsonlyplease stated...

the PUBLIC embarrassment?

and in addition to miss the INAUGURAL season in that BRAND NEW ARENA?

That gonna HURT.

Would be more embarrassing to kick him out the good ole boys club for hitting a negro. I don't think they will make him sell but it would send a message. If I was a player I would be at the union heavy. He still hasn't apologized that year won't mean much he will travel the world until the season is over. Shit he may still be in the box if no oversight is in place.

My thing is the brother could have turned around and Japped him and lost his chance to win in the finals and possibly his career for going full retard.
