this movie is getting bad reviews overseas. says the feminism route is destroying the movie by overdoing it and brie larson just looks terrible in uniform. a few places 1 starred it.

I will go into it tomorrow with an open mind...
But the critiques we've been hearing raises an interesting question/comparison: is feminism capable of calling its banners (to borrow a GoT reference) the same way black panther did?
Do not get me wrong I truly thought (and still feel) black panther could and should have won the Oscar for best pic. But, a major push of its commercial success was the unbridled support of black folk paying to see black excellence on screen.
Will feminism support and boost captain Marvel numbers the way black folk showed up and showed out for black panther

The feminist already showed out for Wonder Woman
But truth be told...it was surprisingly a pretty good flick
Especially for a DC universe movie
But I'm hearing Captain Marvel is not as good though

not even that. however they made the outfit it's like a oversized rubber suit on her that bends and bulges in all the wrong ways they could have done heavy spandex with padding stitched in or something
Amazing that DC did it right with Gal Gadot.
She was a waif when cast as WW, but on screen, she looked the part.
Thats because shes so thin she cant properly fill out a suit. She would actually look worse in spandex because she has the body of a pre teen.
The skirt, padding and armor helped her drastically.

yeah. at the silverspot cinema. it's like dine while you watch the movie. easily 1oo bucks after tickets, meals and whatever drinks the mrs order

Waiting for the final end credit this movie reminded me of the old marvel 2 in one comic books

Since Siskel & Ebert died, I don't listen to professional critics. I'll wait to see what BGOL & Reddit say.

Suprising story with twists you wont see coming.
Humor is very well done, though im sick and tired of all the jokes while they are supposedly fighting for their lives.
I thought they would play up the 90s era a bit more. There was some though and those parts were good.
The feminist angle is there but subtle. They didnt over do it. None of it was actually about her being a female.
I didnt stay for the after credit scenes cause my kids had to pee. Hoping ill catch them on the net soon.

But I bet Mar-Vel in her (go figure
) search to help, discovered the teseract energy signal on earth. The teseract was not on the plane when Cap crashed. Red skull dropped it when the teseract transported him to vorimer and it melted thru the floor of the plane and fell out before the crash that froze cap.
Definitely another solid movie for Marvel.

There was some girl power stuff but I didn't feel like I was getting beat down with some anti men agenda. Its a female superhero gotta throw a bone to the ladies.
